A massive THANKYOU to all the Harvest Home supporters... you've enabled us to fund the replacement pads for the defib on the wall of Shipham AFC changing rooms next to Shipham Village Hall.
It's a great asset that we hope will never be used.
If you ever do need it, dial 999 first. You will be given the code for the cabinet and, once you open the defib itself, the machine will talk you through what to do.
It has pads for use on adults and children.

Last year I dedicated a shield in memory of my Dad, who was hugely passionate about our village, to recognise people who make a real difference to our community in what they do voluntarily.
This year we awarded the shield to Justin Vallance for all his work with the history of our village. Justin gives a great deal of time to not only running the History Society and the Memories of Shipham group, but bringing us amazing stories from Shipham of yesteryear so we can see how our community has evolved over the years. Justin also takes it upon himself to give time to parishioners who have a specific historical interest in either their property, relatives or the local area, researching as much as he can on peoples behalf, and now sits on the Parish Council, researching historical detail which could impact planning.
Thank you Justin, what you do is so important and massively appreciated ā¤ļø

...and that was Harvest Home 2025!
Thanks to Alasdair HM and Sam Macphail for these photos, if anyones got any more I'd love to see them and add to our pictoral journey... please post them here.
Harvest Home takes over my life for a few weeks each year, but when you see the faces of everyone relaxed, enjoying time together and celebrating our amazing community it's all worth while!
So many people play their part in making the day what it is and I'm always nervous in case I miss anyone out with my thanks...
This years Harvest Home was brought to you by:
Sam and his team at Langford Marquees.
John Sly, Simon Leader , Heather and Darren Wilcox for decorating the marquee and setting all the tables up.
Sally Hansford and all her team on Friday night and Saturday for preparing and serving such a delicious lunch.
Rev Sue Hoskins and all the St Leonards team for our Harvest service.

John Sly, Simon Leader, Harry Griffin (and friend) and Darren Wilcox for our parade of tractors.
The Shipham Collective for our pre lunch entertainment.
