Today is the day we fly to Hurghada for the holiday we booked just two days before our beautiful boy died unexpectedly at home. A holiday booked to cater for his several complex medical needs.

Whilst he’s not with us physically, we know he’ll be with us in everything we do. And to make sure we include him, we’ve had some Ruairi Bears made to leave in key places for others to find and take on further adventures! It seems only right that we leave one at the airport. Let’s hope he has a magical adventure 🤞🤞

A big hello and welcome to The Ruairi Bear Trust. We are a not-for profit charity established in memory of Ruairi Carte who overcame many challenges in the 6 years and 2 months that he lived. Our aim is to support parents, carers and siblings of babies, children and young people who have been diagnosed with a life limiting and/or life threatening condition as well as provide training to professionals across education, health and social care. Because every life matters.

We’re currently in the process of registering the charity and setting up our website and social media pages so please keep following us for updates over the next few weeks and months.

Thank you for being here with us. Hopefully, together we can bring much needed change and support.
