Last week, The Rotary Club of Shepshed distributed some of the proceeds from various fundraising events over the last twelve months to various charities and good causes.
Rotary members and current President Phil Marriott were delighted to hand over donations to the following:
Shepshed Community Poppy Project - Evelyn Richardson
Iveshead College - Jaime Gandabhai & Lynette
Rainbows - Maria Thompson
Canine Partners - Rebecca Middleton, Ann and Libby the dog!
Shepshed Volunteer Centre - Gemma Skevington
Donations were also made to ShelterBox, Mary's Meals UK and LOROS.
The Rotary Club of Shepshed would like to thank everyone who has supported our various fundraising events over the past twelve months which has enabled us to make a difference to many worthwhile charities and good causes and which will ultimately make a difference to so many peoples lives.

Tonight’s the night!

Pigeon Pie are a Nottinghamshire based 4 piece band, playing a combination of electric & acoustic guitars. Their range is considerable, covering several genres, styles & periods.

Tickets still available or just turn up and pay on the door for what promises to be a great evening.

The Rotary Club of Shepshed would like to congratulate Anna Hamlet of Iveshead Academy for reaching the Rotary District 1070 “Young Chef of the Year” finals held at Loughborough College yesterday.

Anna was the youngest competitor and whilst Anna didn’t make the top three she was complimented by the judges and gained valuable experience for next year’s competition which she is already looking forward to.

Many thanks to her teacher Mrs Gandabhai who came along to offer support.

Follow on from two very successful fundraising events, the 2025 Christmas Tree Festival and the 1940’s Victory Dance, our next event will happen at the end of March.
We hope you can join us for a great night of music on 28th March from
Pigeon Pie who are a Nottinghamshire based four piece band, playing a combination of electric and acoustic guitars.
Their range is considerable and covers several genres, styles and periods and they’re sure to get your feet tapping with their vocal harmonies and catchy tunes.
We have a licensed bar so why not come long for what will be a really great social event.

On Monday evening, members of the Rotary Club of Shepshed, and invited guests, attended the awarding of the certificates to the winners and runners at the 2025 Christmas Tree Festival Adult category.

3rd - Yvonne Powel-Caley from Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People.

Once again, a massive thank you to all who took part and to everyone who attended this key charity fundraising event which will benefit charities in Shepshed and the local area.

Thanks to President Phil Marriott for organising the Rotary Club Of Shepshed’s lastest fundraising event last night👍
Over 100 people attended the 1940’s Victory Celebration Dance evening at St Botholoph’s Primary School yesterday evening to enjoy dancing to the Ashby Big Little Band 🎶🎺🎷🥁🎹.
Everyone had fun meeting friends old and new and enjoyed a relaxing atmosphere with a few well earned drinks after fantastic moves on the dance floor 🪩 🕺💃.
Well done to all the Rotarian’s and friends of the Rotary who put so much time and effort into making this event a great success.
Thanks also to Keith, Janet, Ruth,Jenny, Pete, Heather, Rose, Mount St Bernard Trappist Brewery, The Horse Shepshed, The Crown Shepshed, Shepshed Dynamo FC, and Shepshed Special Community Bus for you generous contributions to a “sell out” raffle which was a resounding success.
