September is FASD Awareness Month – an opportunity to raise awareness of fetal alcohol spectrum disorder and celebrate the amazing achievements of people with FASD across the UK.

Throughout the month our FASD Hub team will be hosting two webinars with some very special guests, as well as sharing practical information, insights from young people with lived experience, and our latest educational strategies and resources to support those with FASD and their families.

Arguments between parents and children are normal, it is how you resolve them that matters. You don’t need to weather the storm alone. Please contact your local children’s centre for further free support and advice, contact details can be found at Family Information Directory

At the Children’s Centres we have the following programmes that support discussions about relationships, that you may wish to attend;

Baby Days- a new parent, 6 week programme, where we discuss all things being a new parent. Suitable from birth-4 months old.

Parent Puzzle- suitable for parents with children over the age of 2 years old. We offer 10 and 4 week programmes, supporting positive parenting strategies within family life.

Rebuild- a 10 week healthy relationship programme for women. To support women living with domestic abuse, exploring conflict and dynamics in relationships.

Our Youth Support Service offers free, impartial advice on education, employment and training opportunities for young people aged 16-18 (up to 25 for those with learning difficulties and/or disabilities).
