Looking forward to attending the British Deaf Association’s BSL Conference 2025 in Leeds 🙌

BDA: “This year’s theme “The Future Starts With Us”, champions the power and responsibility of the Deaf community, and those working alongside them, in shaping a future where BSL is recognised, Deaf culture is celebrated, and inclusion is central.

Through six key focus areas – Culture, Economy, Technology, Education, Identity, and Community, the conference explores how we can collectively preserve our heritage, harness innovation, improve access and opportunity, and strengthen connections across the UK. Each session is a step toward building a future that starts with us.”

🎶 Love signing along to music? Or do you want to learn how? Come and join our Sign Choir! Whether you’re a beginner or fluent in BSL, all levels are welcome.

💻 We meet online Fridays at 7pm for an hour of signing to songs, fun and laughter - A perfect way to start your weekend!

🙌 Led by Deaf musician and Sign Song performer Paul Whittaker OBE, every session is inspiring, educational, and full of joy!

“Better together” - Today was a good day! We officially appointed Diane and Leigh as supporting directors of Communi Link CIC 🎉 We couldn’t be physically together, so we had a video call which also gave access to lipreading and signing during the call. Looking forward to working together and happy ‘Appointed Directors Day’ 🙌

We are really looking forward to working with and their students during their upcoming ESOL course! 🤩 ESOL stands for English for Speakers of Other Languages, and is designed to help individuals who speak/use languages other than English improve their skills in using English. These courses are often offered to non-native English speakers, enabling them to integrate into English-speaking communities, enhance job prospects, and pursue further education.
