Staff will be out and about tonight on different parks. Starting with Burgoyne Park.

Sorry but staffing issues mean we can’t open the building safely.

Using technology responsibly at the youth club 📱💬

We love how technology helps young people connect, express themselves and stay in touch with friends. Phones, videos and social media can be powerful tools for creativity, learning and bringing people together ❤️

We want to be clear: we are not banning phones. We recognise how important they are in young people’s lives and we want to support positive, responsible use.

That said, everyone who comes to the youth club has the right to feel safe, respected and comfortable. This includes not being filmed or photographed without their consent — whether that’s other young people or staff.

Recording someone without permission can make people feel uncomfortable or unsafe, even if it wasn’t meant that way. Our club is built on trust, respect and looking out for one another 🤝

If you’d like to film, take photos, or create content while you’re here:
• Always ask first
• Respect a “no”
• Think about how it might make others feel

Going forward, if this continues to be an issue, we’ll be contacting parents and carers individually to work together in a supportive way and make sure everyone understands the expectations.

We’re always happy to talk about positive ways to use technology — from creative projects to learning new skills — while keeping the youth club a safe and welcoming space for everyone 💙
