Our senior staff spent last week at Scarborough helping our sister company 1st Farsley with our annual holiday.
Plenty of laughs, adventure, activities, fun and camararderie.
Looking forward to taking our young people next year too.

The annual week away is often the highlight for the kids, but we still have smaller adventures and other great activities each week, building their confidence for this throughout the year.

Had to change plans when the rain came as we got to the park yesterday but even back in the hall we had a great night of new experiences for the young people including the two brand new members we had.
They each got to experience a virtual reality paragliding flight one of our leaders did the previous weekend.
Some also got to try on the harness and all got to see a paraglider wing laid out and learned how it flies.
A brave six year old, who was afraid of heights, overcame her anxiety and soldiered on like a trooper.
Learned that brave people aren't those who are never afraid, but are those who carry on, even if they are afraid and smiled with pride at the end of it.
Also some excitement in trying on their uniforms, for the first time, ready for our next meeting.
Still spaces left for any new young adventurers wanting to give us a try.

7 new members, aged from 6 to 12 years old came in last week to start their adventure.
Lots of running around, building shelters, having water thrown on the shelters to see how good they were.
Pop and some chocolates from one of the games, laughter and getting to know each other.
This week we had another new starter and were visited by a police officer who showed everyone their equipment and the young people had a hands on experience with it all, trying on various pieces of safety equipment and "accidentally" putting on the handcuffs (we did have the keys handy so all went home un-restrained).
More running around, laughter and drinks before voting on what to do next week (it was an election night after all).

New Year is a chance for a New Adventure, for children and young people from 5 to 18.
Term time Thursday evenings at Hillsborough Trinity (the church opposite the Hillsborough Park bowling greens on Middlewood Road).

As a New Year kicks off, so does a chance to bring new Adventures for any children and young people in the area.
Why not make this year the one your young ones look back on with fondness saying
"2026, that was the year my adventures began".
