What more could we ask for?

The extremely talented Croft and Perry wrote Dad’s Army. On opening night, the daughters of David Croft came along to see us perform some of their father’s work. We were greatly honoured to have them come and support us in our World Premiere Stage production. Here’s what they had to say…

“Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our visit to the Stannington Players at the Lomas Hall. What a fantastic venue it is.

We all had such a nice time watching all those talented actors strut their stuff with such aplomb!

It was an absolute joy to see. It’s been a long time since we watched that particular lot of scripts, in fact probably not since we were kids, in the actual studio at BBC centre.

Dad and Jimmy would have been absolutely delighted with the whole thing so thanks for that, and thanks to you especially for making the whole thing happen.

Good luck with the rest of the run!”

We are extremely excited and proud to announce that our September production will be the WORLD PREMIERE of the hilarious ‘DAD’S ARMY 2 – THE EARLY YEARS’.

Edited by the ‘Stannington Scribbler’, (a very mysterious member of the Players), and authorised by the Croft and Perry families, this production is based on the very first episodes of this iconic show.

You will have the first opportunity to see this show before it is performed worldwide!

Tickets will go on sale soon. This is sure to be a sellout, so do not miss out!
