We’re proud to support young people like Arthur, who is completing his 'The Duke of Edinburgh's Award' volunteering with us.

Keep up the great work! 🌟

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE) is a UK youth programme that helps young people (aged 14–24) build skills, confidence and resilience through volunteering, physical activity, learning a skill, and completing an expedition.

Ramadan Mubarak from Thalassaemia South Yorkshire (TSY) & our Nether Edge & Sharrow Foodbank.

May this blessed month bring peace, mercy and strength to every family. As we reflect on compassion and community, we continue our commitment to supporting individuals and families affected by thalassaemia and those facing hardship.

Let’s use this Ramadan to uplift one another, share what we can, and keep our most vulnerable in our prayers❤️

24th December 2025

Thanks to a referral from Andy Campbell, Housing & Wellbeing Officer at St Wilfrid’s Place, we were able to respond to an emergency request for a vulnerable person with a learning disability who had no food over Christmas.

Even though the foodbank was officially closed, we always try our best to meet urgent needs.

Thanks to teamwork, the person now has essentials and ongoing support in place. ❤️🎄

🎄 Happy Christmas from Nether Edge & Sharrow Foodbank 🎄

Thank you to our wonderful community for your continued support. Since Covid and now through the cost-of-living crisis we are proud to have kept our doors open and support going. With an amazing team of volunteers, we’ve made sure families continue to receive food when they need it most.

As many know, we open every Wednesday from 5.30pm–6.30pm, with packs prepared and ready once confirmed. Last Wednesday was our final distribution of 2025.

We’re closed on Christmas Day, but as before if anyone is in urgent need, we will do our best to make sure no one goes without food.

It is heartbreaking to hear the stories shared with us, but truly heartwarming to see how your donations and encouragement help us keep families fed even bringing a smile to someone who is struggling makes every effort worthwhile.

Thank you to everyone who has donated food, funds, time, or kindness.

We still need your support and we hope it continues into the new year.

Wishing you all a peaceful and warm xmas❤️❤️

Heartbreaking news about the passing of Uriah Rennie. A kind soul who always left you inspired and supported.

Beyond being a respected former FIFA referee and the recently appointed Chancellor of Sheffield Hallam University, Uriah supported our summer camps through Voluntary Action Sheffield and truly cared about helping us engage young people and access support.

We had plans to do more together, but sadly it was not meant to be. He will be so dearly missed. Our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.❤️

🌙 Eid Mubarak to Our Thalassaemia Warriors! ❤️❤️

As we celebrate this blessed day, our hearts are with all those affected by Thalassaemia, the brave children, the resilient adults, and the families who stand beside them with unwavering love.

This Eid, let’s honour their strength by spreading awareness, showing compassion, and supporting life-saving efforts like regular blood donation.

✨ To our warriors - your courage inspires us.
✨ To our communities - let’s come together to make a difference.
✨ To everyone reading this - your small act could be someone’s big hope.

May this Eid bring peace, health, and happiness to all.
Eid Mubarak from our hearts to yours. 💖
