The Lewis project is a charitable organisation that has been set up to promote mental wellbeing for young musicians aged 16+ through the power of music.

We are delighted to share that Sandra and Michele, along with The Lewis Project, have been recognised at the Sevenoaks District Council Making it Happen Community & Voluntary Awards. 🏆

We were honoured to receive a Certificate of Achievement in the Charity Project of the Year category, recognising the work of our charity and the dedication of our wonderful volunteers.

This recognition reflects the commitment, compassion and hard work shown by our volunteer team, who give their time so generously to support The Lewis Project and the people we serve. Whilst awards are never the reason we do what we do, it is incredibly special to see the impact of The Lewis Project acknowledged in this way.

Celebrating Volunteers’ Week - 1st – 7th June

This Volunteers’ Week, we want to take a moment to celebrate and say a huge 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 to our incredible volunteers.

Your kindness, dedication, time and passion are at the heart of The Lewis Project. The support you give helps us continue to run HQ successfully and create a welcoming space for everyone who walks through our doors.

Whether you’re giving your time behind the scenes, lending a helping hand at an event, sharing your skills or simply showing up when we need you, please know how valued and appreciated you are.

The Lewis Project wouldn’t be what it is without the amazing people who choose to give their time to support it.

We’re so excited to be part of this fantastic community event again this Bank Holiday Monday (25th May), alongside such an amazing line-up of local musicians and performers.

You can catch The Lewis Project performing outside from 1:15pm – 2pm, and we’d absolutely love to see some friendly faces there supporting our musicians and local music charity.

Whether you stay all day or just pop by for a while, it promises to be a brilliant afternoon of music, fun and community spirit (with hopefully a little sunshine too ☀️)

On Friday night, one of The Lewis Project founders, Michele, had the pleasure of catching up with our wonderful patron Derek Nash Music at his Wonder of Stevie gig at The Stag Sevenoaks, and what a fantastic evening it was! 🎶

Derek very kindly gave The Lewis Project a shout-out on stage, which meant so much to us. His continued support is incredibly appreciated.

It was a brilliant night all round, a full house, a great atmosphere, and amazing music. Huge thanks again to Derek for his generosity and ongoing encouragement of the charity 💙

Moments like these remind us how powerful community support really is.

We just wanted to take a moment to give a huge thank you to Barry and the brilliant team at The Anchor, Sevenoaks.

Over the years, they’ve hosted so many special moments for us - Christmas dinners, live gigs, and plenty of social drinks in between. Every single time, they’ve been generous, welcoming, and endlessly supportive of what we do.

If you’ve not visited The Anchor yet, later this month is the perfect opportunity.

Once again, we gathered at The Anchor, Sevenoaks to celebrate Christmas together and what a night it was!
Fabulous food, all the trimmings, cracking company… and plenty of cracker-pulling chaos (the photos say it all! 🤣)

A huge thank you to Barry, our wonderful landlord, for treating us to a delicious Christmas dinner and always welcoming The Lewis Project with open arms.
You truly are a superstar ⭐

We also want to take this moment to send a massive thank you to our incredible musicians.
