Some lovely feedback from Headway Sussex.
We are delighted to share the wonderful experience our clients had during two recent creative sessions with Act On It. Their team brought warmth, energy and encouragement to every activity, and the photos show just how much fun everyone had together.
Act On It is a social enterprise that uses drama and creative expression to help people build confidence, strengthen communication skills and enjoy positive shared experiences. Their approach fits perfectly with our aim to support wellbeing through meaningful activity and supportive connection.
This type of work is incredibly valuable for people living with brain injury.
Many individuals experience challenges such as fatigue, memory difficulties, social anxiety and reduced confidence. Creative sessions like these can help people relax, express themselves, enjoy companionship and rediscover their strengths.
We are truly grateful to Act On It for giving their time and enthusiasm to our clients. Thank you for creating an environment full of joy, laughter and encouragement!

Act On It Changing Chalk workshops use inclusive drama activities to bring the benefits of a walk on the South Downs to participants. The project was developed with support from the National Trust and the Changing Chalk Community Grants Scheme, and funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, with thanks to National Lottery players.

We've been celebrating our youth participants' achievements this week.
Act On It is very proud to present the Loneliness Monologues: created by young people to help others feel less lonely in their loneliness.
We held online workshops with young people who are not in school or home educated. They created the monologues. Talented volunteers from Claremont School perform their words. We thank them all.
Sussex Community Development Association Tackling Loneliness Programme funded Act On It to work with young people to create these mini-monologues.
Sussex Community Development Association works across East Sussex, supporting community based projects aimed at tackling loneliness and social isolation, improving health and wellbeing and increasing economic stability.
Act On It is a social enterprise that aims to present the experiences and voices of under-represented communities. All with a focus on well-being, inclusivity and building confidence and skills.
We want these important youth voices to be heard far and wide, so please like and share widely! If you are a teacher or youth worker and would like to use the Loneliness Monologues to start a conversation in your own setting, please get in touch if you would like any support.

Well done to all the Act On It learners celebrating their Pearson Project Qualification results today...
And a big thanks to everyone that has supported them on that journey.
Fantastic achievement across the board for Foundation, Higher and Extended Project Qualifications (worth between half a GCSE and half an A Level.
Great to be working with History Link-Up London School of Architecture and Trust too.

Thanks to our funders for ensuring that some very deserving young people got the opportunity to take part in our Act On It programmes as get their qualification.
