I'm Chris Weightman and I'm standing for Reform UK in Kippax and Methley on Thursday 7th May.

I live in Kippax and I'm currently a councillor on Kippax Parish Council, so I know how local government works but I'm not a career politician, and I never want to be. I'm just someone who loves this area, who's been out on the doorsteps speaking with people for the last year and who has heard the same thing again and again: we feel forgotten and we need change.

The Conservatives ran this country for 14 straight years, and Labour have run Kippax and Methley for the last few decades unopposed. They are not doing the job they once did. The potholes, our green spaces under threat, the fact that they've taken Leeds City Council into £2.6 billion of debt - these aren't small things. They're impacting our daily life here, they are getting worse, and they've been neglected for too long by people who assumed your vote was already in the bag.

We're the only people with a proper plan to fix Leeds City Council and protect Kippax + Methley. I bring a decade of professional experience outside of politics, policies, fresh eyes, and the energy to turn things around and bring some hope back.

On Thursday 7th May, I'm asking for your vote. Not out of habit, not because that's just the way we've always voted, but because you genuinely deserve something different. You deserve someone that can get the potholes fixed, stop the overdevelopment in our villages, get council tax down, and fix the mess that we're in.

Vote Chris Weightman for Reform UK on Thursday 7th May. We're counting on you to help us bring change to Kippax and Methley.

Different streets, same story. Yesterday we went to Temple Newsam to help our Reform colleagues leaflet ahead of May 7th.

Residents there feel just as let down, just as ignored, and just as ready for change as the people we speak to here in Kippax and Methley every single week.

All across Leeds, people are saying the same thing: we're done with the current system.

That's why this election matters so much. When Reform UK wins seats across this city on May 7th, we won't just be isolated voices. We'll be a team - working together, holding Labour to account, and actually delivering for the residents who've been let down for far too long.

Change isn't coming to just one street or one ward. It's coming to the whole city.

But first, we need your vote.

Labour HQ are going to go into meltdown in May when they see just how much support we have in Kippax. It's been great chatting to people on the doorsteps yesterday morning and getting our message out.

Next weekend we'll be back in Methley to hear from our neighbours and spread a bit of hope that things are changing, fast.

Will you join us?
