Volunteers’ Week 2026 💙

As Volunteers’ Week comes to a close, we want to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to every single volunteer who gives their time, energy, skills, and heart to support Restore Axe Valley.

As a Community Interest Company, our mission is to work alongside our community to restore hope, build individual wellbeing, and improve people’s lives. The impact we make every day would simply not be possible without our incredible volunteers.

With only a small team of paid staff, the vast majority of what we do relies on the dedication and commitment of volunteers. From supporting our youth groups and family services, helping with our reading group, keeping our Community Hub running smoothly, and supporting our many community groups and activities, you are the people who make it all happen.

You give your time generously, often behind the scenes, and your contribution has a lasting impact on the lives of so many people across our community. Through your kindness, compassion, and commitment, you help create opportunities, build connections, and bring hope to those who need it most.

To each and every volunteer, thank you for everything you do. Your hard work, dedication, and unwavering support continue to help Restore Axe Valley grow and thrive.

This Volunteers’ Week, we celebrate you. 👏

Reminder that tomorrow (Friday 5th June 9.30am - 11am) we have our Seaton based VCSE (Voluntary, Community, Social Enterprise) meeting at The Gateway.

A great opportunity to gather with other local organisations, learn what's happening in and around Seaton and get support from others.

All welcome to attend, particularly thsoe working in and around this sector.

See invite link below.
See you then!

These meetings work best where we have a good representation of local groups, please feel free to pass this on to colleagues or other groups you think may be interested.

⛈️ With the current weather situation, we have an indoor wet weather plan and lots of fun to welcome our youth back after half term break.

🍬 As usual we will have tuck, crafts, organised games, consoles and food.

🥪 Food this week will be sub sandwiches and crisps.

See you Friday. 5.30-7pm.

Urgent Appeal for Help 🚨

We are currently supporting a vulnerable individual who has unfortunately broken their phone and is now unable to stay in contact with their support network. This communication is absolutely vital for their wellbeing, safety, and day-to-day support.

We are urgently looking for:
📱 A working smartphone (Android or iPhone)
🔌 Ideally with a charger
💙 Or a head set that can be connected to an xbox so he can communicate this way.

Being without a phone is leaving this person isolated and at risk, so any help, whether sharing this post or donating a device would mean so much.

Please message us privately if you can help in any way. Thank you for supporting ❤️
