Seacroft Green Care Home and Seacroft Village Hall, will be bringing the Caribbean vibes to Seacroft Green as members, residents and colleagues dance our way around the Green to some Soca, Calypso and Reggae! 🥁🎶

This Friday...
⏰ 11:30am - Carnival leaves Seacroft Green Care Home - stopping outside the Cricketers pub for a group dance to 'Follow the Leader'.
🥤 11:55am - Pit stop at Seacroft Village Hall for a well earned drink, toilet access and break
🚶🏽 12:15pm - Back on the road
🍗 12:30pm - 'Back a yard' to Seacroft Green for our Jamaican dinner! 🇯🇲

🚶‍♀️💛 Walk for World Su***de Prevention Day – Seacroft 💛🚶‍♂️

Join us for a community Walk for World Su***de Prevention Day in Seacroft on Thursday 10th September.

We’ll be coming together with Wondering and Wombling Walking Group for a friendly walk, a chance to connect with others, and an opportunity to raise awareness of su***de prevention and the importance of talking, listening and supporting one another.

🥕Let's Grow East Leeds Fest:
A FREE, family fun day THIS SATURDAY 25th JULY celebrating growing food, community and nature! No booking required.

🍴Lunch included!

🌞Everyone is welcome to Let's Grow East Leeds Fest!

🌳12 pm at Seacroft Forest Garden: join the marvellous Madam Zucchini for her puppetry show, 'Pirates of the Carrotbean!' Followed by vegetable crafts and a chance to explore the Seacroft Forest Garden.

📻1 pm - 3 pm at Chapel Fm Arts Centre: food and nature themed stalls and activities. Bring your bike along for a free MOT , check out a real live bee hive, or settle down for some flowery crafts. All in a friendly, family fun atmosphere.

🆙3 pm Chapel Fm (upstairs performance space) we will host a community forum where we will hear from the community leaders making a difference in our area ! You can have your say and we will get growing together!

🍓Healthy Holidays: ANOTHER brilliant school holidays opportunity! Based at Kentmere Community Centre on Mondays and Tuesdays, with performance, storytelling, and trips on Wednesdays. FREE for those on free school meals ✨

🌞The Hangout is delighted to be running our Yorkshire Folklore Project as part of the Healthy Holidays programme this summer.

Dates: Mon, Tues, Wed 27th July - 26th August
Time: 11:00am - 2:00pm
Venue: Kentmere Community Centre
Age Group: 8 -16 years

Throughout the programme, young people will have the opportunity to:

🎭Take part in drama and performance activities.
📖Explore creative storytelling workshops.
🍃Learn about Yorkshire folklore, local wildlife and botanicals.
🫕Enjoy a healthy meal at every session.
🚐Attend exciting trips across Leeds.

📆Programme Schedule:
Mondays and Tuesdays: Sessions will take place at Kentmere Community Centre from 11:00am until 2:00pm.

Wednesdays: These are trip days. Please drop your child off at Kentmere Community Centre at 11:00am, where staff will meet the group before travelling to the day's destination. Children will return to Kentmere Community Centre by 2:00pm for collection.
