How is this even the same cat 😱 perseverance was key with Prince so many people said I should have had him euthanised it would have been kinder but I stuck to my guns I knew I could help him I cried so much in the past not knowing what to do how to help spent thousands and it paid off big time 🤩 the first 2 photos is prince now the next 2 was only one year ago I get to keep loving him for so much longer now he’s my big fluff ❤️

Prince and Misty enjoying their new cat tree they love it Prince has claimed the little hammock part he’s still doing well with his lowered dose of medication thankfully so will be looking to lower the dose again soon 🙌🏻

So princes medication has officially been lowered by 25% and if all goes well his next prescription his dose will be low...

So princes medication has officially been lowered by 25% and if all goes well his next prescription his dose will be lowered again he doesn’t have any side effects that I know of but he was taking the strongest dose of steroids possible since January and long term issues can arise from prolonged high dosage so here’s hoping he can reduce the amount without regressing back to his old itchy ways and here is a pic of me holding prince he is such a big fluff ball (he was licking my hand not biting it lol

Prince is still doing incredibly well no overgrooming he’s still taking his high dose of steroids I have asked the vets today if it’s possible to try lowering his dose as he is on the highest possible dose let’s see what they say hopefully he remains his sleepy and playful self even with a lower dosage ☺️ (he was playing in the bag Prince has loved bags from being a kitten no bags are left out when I’m not around and if he is playing in or on one he is always monitored )

Amazing news Prince has been 2 weeks with no cone and even coped amazingly with a house move in this time I got in touch with the vets and unfortunately the vet that worked with Prince has moved away but I have asked if I send an email with images could it be forwarded onto the vet so she can see him cone free and I can thank her
Prince is currently taking 2 different steroids daily he is back on “normal food “ not the hypoallergenic and hydrolysed protein diet the funds that were left in his go fund me are used to pay for his monthly medications now I am very optimistic for princes future and honestly could not be more grateful for the support I had from you guys following and the people that donated to his go fund me account so thank you all 🥰

Guys last night when I fed Prince I took his cone off and set a 10 min alarm on my phone when I came back he was grooming his back but not to the point of drawing blood didn’t itch his face tonight I did the same thing after 10 mins he was grooming himself but then went back to eat he had his cone off for a total of 15 mins and no blood no wounds no cuts 🙌🏻 I know it’s only 15 mins but the damage he could have done before in that time would have involved a vet visit this is amazing progress for him I’m elated 🤗

A very long awaited update Prince started his steroids in January and they seem to be making a difference a lot less itching going on Iv removed his come twice for about 10 mins and monitored him other than abit of arm munching he didn’t itch his face once didn’t even try even though it is still healing he did give himself abit of a clean in other areas which had made me very happy he has recently started some different steroids and I’m very hopeful this is the start of him actually healing fingers crossed 🤞🏼

After a visit to the vets Thursday prince is on antibiotics gabapentin and steroids now hopefully the steroids can help ...

After a visit to the vets Thursday prince is on antibiotics gabapentin and steroids now hopefully the steroids can help so far we’ve had no side effects from the steroids and prince has been having lots of cuddles he is not a fan of taking his meds but we do what we have to to help our furbabies

And just like that all the healing is undone 😢 on the way to the vets to get him seen and start some steroids hopefully ...
