🎤 Calling all Calday Alumni! 🎤
Do you have a deep academic passion, a fascinating hobby, or a unique life interest that the next generation of Calday students needs to hear about? We are thrilled to announce the launch of our very first series of "Calday Talks"!
Inspired by the world-famous TED Talks format, we are building a directory of alumni speakers who are willing to deliver engaging, inspiring 15-minute talks to our current students and community.
Whether you love diving into deep academic research, have a niche obsession, or want to share a unique perspective, we want your voice.
💡 What could you talk about?
The sky is the limit! We want a mix of high-level academic concepts made simple, and just genuinely fascinating personal interests. Here are some examples to get you thinking:
Ancient History Reimagined: A deep dive into a historical mystery or a forgotten empire.
The Science of Everyday Things: From the physics of elite sports to the chemistry of baking.
The Art of Storytelling: How narrative shapes everything from video games to classic literature.
Extreme Hobbies: What climbing mountains (or marathon running, or deep-sea diving) teaches us about the human mind.
Philosophy in the Modern World: How ancient ethics apply to today’s biggest global debates.
The Future of Space Exploration: Where astrophysics is taking us in the next 50 years.
🕒 The Commitment
Just 15 minutes of your time to present, followed by a brief Q&A. Talks can be delivered in person or virtually, making it easy to get involved no matter where in the world you are currently based.
