Employee Wellbeing is a huge interest area for companies big and small.
93% of employees consider their wellbeing equally critical to their salary so we're delighted to have some fantastic organisations joining us on the 23rd October to provide our attendees with insight and guidance on a range of services and support they can offer.

From gambling addiction, to menopause, mindfulness and counselling, there's lots of advice and support on top of the main topic of conversation of the day, domestic abuse.

There's still time to get your ticket! Head to www.businesswellbeing.club/events

If you're considering joining us on the 23rd October at the Speaking Out conference, here's the amazing line-up of speakers who will be sharing their invaluable knowledge, insight and expertise with you.

I am delighted to be joined by these amazing women who are all speaking out against domestic abuse. They are passionate about creating a society, and a business community, that doesn't shy aware from this topic, but instead creates a culture of support, awareness and education on the issue.

Yesterday was World Mental Health Day. It's important we discuss mental health, and also look at, and understand the causes that impact it. Domestic abuse has an horrendous impact on the mental health of survivors.

We are also joined by a fantastic selection of other organisations who can support your workplace wellbeing strategies - from menopause, to mindfulness, gambling addiction and bereavement.

Come along on the 23rd October, Scarborough Rugby Club for an inspiring and educational event that will see your business become part of a proactive community of only 5% of organisations who have a policy on domestic abuse.

Violence against women is a national emergency that can no longer be ignored, especially by the business community.

Thanks to Ismail Mulla for sharing my thoughts in today’s Yorkshire Post on why we need to play our part in tackling what’s been described as one of the biggest threats to society.

Small actions and changes can make a huge difference.

What a fantastic chat with Chris Quinn, the MD from Octane Construction Ltd!
Chris shared with me the reasons why they are supporting the Speaking Out campaign, and the importance of challenging perceptions for them as an industry and how businesses view domestic abuse.

Already as a business they are seeing a positive response from existing staff and new recruits to them signing the Yorkshire Business Charter on Domestic Abuse and supporting the event we are hosting on the 23rd October.

Action and change matters. I am hugely grateful to Chris and the team for putting their head about the parapet and proactively playing their part to educate and support their workplace on the issue of domestic abuse. The ripple effect of what they are doing cannot be underestimated.

Will you join them?

Please do get in touch for further details on the Charter or the Speaking Out Summit.
