The Market Inn
The Market Inn is a warm, conversation‑first pub in the heart of Sandwich, known for its welcoming atmosphere, homemade food, and carefully curated drinks. We specialise in well-kept ales, lovely wines, and a menu that blends Asian‑fusion creativity with comforting pub classics — all cooked with care and served without pretension.
There are no TVs, no sports, and no noise distractions — just good company and a fantastic playlist featuring Motown, Soul, 60s/70s/80s. Guests come for relaxed conversation, proper hospitality, and a sense of community that feels increasingly rare.
The new landlord's food offering ranges from vibrant Asian-inspired dishes to hearty British favourites, with a Sunday Roast that has become a local ritual. Everything is made in-house wherever possible, with a focus on flavour, freshness, and generous portions.
With occasional live music, always chosen to complement the atmosphere rather than overpower it.
