Amesbury Men's Shed meets the WI
Our health and safety officer Mr John Stephens took his life in his hands and presented to two of the local Womens Institution groups in the last two weeks!!! Seriously though, it was a great opportunity to build strong bonds with another community based groups. The talks covered the history of the Men’s Shed organisation in general and the Amesbury Men’s Shed in particular. Emphasis was placed on the role of the shed in support of the local community.
The talks were well received. Several members of the WI have since approached us inquiring as to our ability to make items for them.
The Amesbury Men’s Shed would like to thanks the members and management of the Amesbury and New Sarum Womens Institutes for their kind and generous donations to our funds.
