Thank you to everyone who came and spoke to us at the Wessex Community Action Volunteers' Week event today in Salisbury Library. It was lovely to speak to so many women about the work of Soroptimist SIGBI and we hope to see you at our next monthly meeting on Thursday 25 June at Brown Street Baptist Church or come and have a coffee with us on Saturday (6th) in The Salisbury Museum from 10:30. If the sun is out, we'll be in the garden!

Thanks also to Jenny the Mayor for stopping by our stand, seen here with Barbara... who organised our day.

At our club meeting this week we had a superb presentation from Maggie Williams of the The Fawcett Society - Official Hampshire and IoW. The only member-powered organisation working to end sexism and misogyny in all their forms. Thank you Peggy for this valuable introduction.

We are proud to announce the launch of *Taking off the Mask – Revealing Autistic Women*, a new print and digital resource pack created by Soroptimist International Salisbury to help improve understanding and communication with autistic women.

This important guide brings together lived experience, practical advice, and personal insights from both neurodivergent and neurotypical women. Designed for autistic women, their families, friends, and professionals working with neurodivergent people, the resource aims to break down barriers and encourage greater awareness of how autistic women experience the world.

We are especially proud that one of our own members provided the illustrations, adding a deeply personal visual element to the project.

The pack also includes information on local and national support services, helping connect people with further guidance and assistance when needed.

Digital copies are now available https://sigbi.org/salisbury/club-projects/taking-off-the-mask-revealing-autistic-women/ with a limited number of printed copies being distributed to relevant organisations over the coming weeks. Plans are already underway for a second print run, and we hope to secure sponsorship to expand its reach even further, including as a future training resource.

A huge thank you to Our Wiltshire for supporting us in bringing this project to life.

We hope this resource sparks more open conversations and improves understanding of autistic women’s experiences across families, workplaces, education and support services. Please
