WHAT WILL YOU CREATE?
We haven't got a clue yet. And that's the whole point.
We're inviting local people to help create an exhibition celebrating 100 years of our city and we want it to be shaped by YOU.
Come along to our free, relaxed open arts sessions andโ€ฆ
Create a portrait, however you think a portrait should look.
Make a sculpture, model or something we've never seen before.
Add to our giant community collage.
Bring along photographs, keepsakes, comics, toys, trinkets, letters, newspaper cuttings, collectablesโ€ฆor maybe something completely random that has a story to tell. A discarded shopping trolley? Who knows! ๐Ÿ˜‚
And you don't have to make anything at all.
Come for a brew, sit down and tell us about the old days. Share a story, a memory, a saying or simply have a chat.
There are no rules about what you can create and no rules about how you take part.
Beautiful, messy, serious, funny, nostalgic, strange, big, smallโ€ฆ
If it means something to you, or says something about Salford, we want to see it.
And yes... if someone creates a glittery clay poo it will go in the exhibition.
POP IN. STAY A WHILE. MAKE SOMETHING. DON'T MAKE SOMETHING. HAVE A BREW. HAVE A CHAT...
Pop in for five minutes or stay for the whole session, it's completely up to you! ๐Ÿ™‚

Can't make a session? Don't worry! This isn't your only chance to get involved. We'll be inviting submissions of your own creations, memories and Salford inspired work including digital artwork. More information coming soon... ๐Ÿ‘€

Calling all Salfordians!

A group of local organisations, artists, volunteers and residents are coming together to create a birthday celebration in Swinton.

But we need your help...

We're asking our community to help shape the day by taking a few minutes to complete our short survey and help us celebrate everything that makes Salford amazing.

Help us name the event.
Tell us what should be there.
Share your wildest ideas!

If you think we need a giant cake, brass bands, dragons or disco penguins... we want to hear it! ๐Ÿงœโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿช‚๐ŸŽธ

Complete our quick survey and help us create a celebration that's made by the community, for the community.

Thank you in advance ๐Ÿค—

By the community, for the community.

It's a Home Ed Sensory Session this week โœจโœจโœจ

Tomorrow's session is designed to be a calm, quiet sensory experience. The lights will be low with UV lighting, fibre optics, glowing activities, sensory exploration and calming music to help everyone relax and enjoy the space.

Please remember this isn't one of our energetic play sessions.

We ask that everyone helps to keep the environment calm and quiet throughout the session so all families can enjoy the space as intended.

Some children attend specifically because they need a peaceful, sensory friendly environment. If the session becomes too noisy or busy it can mean they are unable to stay and take part.

Thank you for helping us create an inclusive space where everyone feels welcome. ๐Ÿ’œ

*This session is for home educated children only/children not enrolled at a school.
