National Town Criers' Championship National Town Criers’ Championship is an annual event held in Rye, East Sussex.

What a lovely Saturday morning - full of smiles, with families coming out of their houses, waving from windows and doorways for the Tilling Green Green Waves Community Festival procession. It was such a joyful atmosphere!

The Festival Team led the way through the Tilling Green neighbourhood, with a rhythmic and energetic soundtrack from the brilliant Ryebellion Drummers.

And for little Annabelle - the Junior Town Crier Champion, it was a particularly special moment as this was her first time appearing alongside Rye’s Town Crier Paul Edward Goring and Rye’s Deputy Town Crier, Arabella Ansar.

Watching her confidence grow with every corner was absolutely wonderful to see. She really came alive and Rye couldn’t have been prouder of her! 🌟🔔

A very special morning, and a memory to treasure.

The festival continues today, so pop down to Tilling Green for a great afternoon!
