It’s me! Ready to get baking again.
I am a registered home baker. I do it only to be able to fundraise for this local Christmas appeal.
I bake all year round so that the money I make will be enough to fill the many stockings and gift bags that we give to some children in the community of Ryde.
There are some local businesses and kind residents of Ryde who also work all year round with their fundraising initiatives and kind donations.
My many cake and bake sales take planning, what to make, how much should be gluten free, not everyone likes gluten free so I have to find a balance, shopping lists and deliveries, then two days of baking! Listing ingredients and packaging safely and correctly!
Then one day of selling, to you! I hope you enjoy the fruits of my labour!
I will be back this Saturday morning at the Royal Victoria Arcade in Union street, Ryde, I sit alongside, Jennie from Care in the garden with her homemade onion bhajis and chutneys, and other goodies, with us is Jakie from Grace loves Grain with her fresh, home baked sourdough breads, all using organic wheat berries, local flour, no sugar and a whole lot of heart!!!
Many other shops will be open and at the heart of the arcade is the thriving café, Brew, serving hot and cold drinks and many other yummy snacks, sweet and savoury!
We are a little community within a bigger community, helping each other as we go! 🫶
