Over 100 hosts on one pitch and a number that stuck with everyone

The people in this picture have covered more than 35,000 games between them 🤯

Think about what one game means to the people in it

Someone new to a city who doesn’t know anybody yet

Someone who’s had a long week and needs an hour to clear their head

Someone who hasn’t played since school and is nervous about being rubbish, then scores and feels ten years younger

Multiply that by 35,000 and you start to understand what hosting actually is 🙌

Every single one of those games came from you deciding to look after a session and then actually doing it, week after week, in all weathers

There’s something about football that makes friends for life 🫂

The games you’re hosting now will still be on someone’s calendar in 5, 10 and 20 years time

That’s what you’ve done!

With the same love for the game on hundreds of different pitches

To everyone who came and to every host who couldn’t make it, thank you and see you next time!

We’re lucky to have you ❤️⚽️

Cheers for Saturday and for every week that isn’t Saturday 🤝

Watch this and tell me you don't want to be out there

A year ago these people didn't know each other

Now they wouldn't miss their weekly kickabout for anything!

Come and join us. You might love it too ❤️⚽️

Nobody warns you how hard it is to make friends as an adult 😐

At school your mates were just there

Then work, house moves and tired evenings take over

Weeks turn into months without seeing anyone

The ONS says 25% of adults in Britain feel lonely at least some of the time

It’s younger adults who feel it most

Psychologists say it’s important to keep showing up somewhere regular

Problem is, organising anything takes energy most of us don’t have by Tuesday

A weekly kickabout sorts that for you

If you’ve just started following us, welcome 👋

We’re a non-profit organising friendly football games across England, Scotland and Wales

You can find all our sessions on the Footy Addicts app

Just search your area, pick a game that suits your week and book your spot

You don’t need a team and you don’t need to be good

You can turn up on your own

Our friendly host will hand you a bib and put you on a side

There’s no pressure to talk to anyone if you don’t feel like it

But keep coming back and you’ll notice the friendships happen naturally 🤝

This is for you the Football for All host ❤️

You’re the reason there’s a game on your pitch this week. And last week. And the week before that

You bring the balls. You bring the bibs. You get there before everyone else and you set it all up so people can rock up, have a kickabout, and head home with a smile on their face

Half of them probably don’t even realise how much goes into it

You pick the teams and make them work even when someone’s late. You call the keeper changes and welcome new faces in like they’ve been coming for years

That kind of passion isn’t something you can teach

It’s just who you are

We see the time you give up, the effort, the little things you do to make sure everyone has a good time

We see the way people on your games laugh and shake hands and message each other afterwards

None of that happens without you

Football for All is built on people like you

Genuinely

Without our hosts there’s no game. There’s no community

There’s no friends made on a Monday night

So thank you once again!

For caring

For being the reason football happens on your local astro

You’re the true legend of the game ❤️⚽️

And we’ve got your back 🫂

P.S. Huge thanks to for getting these lovely shots of us 📸

P.P.S. To answer the question I know is coming, the next host day is with in Glasgow on June 6th. Then over to London in late August or early September. Hope to see plenty of you there!

5 signs you need to keep playing ⬇️

1. You still get the buzz walking to the pitch
2. You forget your phone exists for an hour
3. You’ve made actual mates from it
4. You sleep properly the night after a game
5. You feel better after a game than before. Every 👏 single 👏 time 👏
