This is for you the Football for All host ❤️

You’re the reason there’s a game on your pitch this week. And last week. And the week before that

You bring the balls. You bring the bibs. You get there before everyone else and you set it all up so people can rock up, have a kickabout, and head home with a smile on their face

Half of them probably don’t even realise how much goes into it

You pick the teams and make them work even when someone’s late. You call the keeper changes and welcome new faces in like they’ve been coming for years

That kind of passion isn’t something you can teach

It’s just who you are

We see the time you give up, the effort, the little things you do to make sure everyone has a good time

We see the way people on your games laugh and shake hands and message each other afterwards

None of that happens without you

Football for All is built on people like you

Genuinely

Without our hosts there’s no game. There’s no community

There’s no friends made on a Monday night

So thank you once again!

4. You sleep properly the night after a game
5. You feel better after a game than before. Every 👏 single 👏 time 👏

It is with a heavy heart that we have to write this today

As a team, we sat down, we talked about how to say what needs to be said

And in the end we all agreed on the same thing

It needed to come from all of us

It needed to be honest

There are moments in life where words feel like they fall short of what a situation truly deserves

This is one of those moments

Cardiff is a city that has given us so much warmth, so much energy and so much belief in what we stand for

And for a long time that belief went without the response it deserved

That is something we have had to live with

Something we have had to look each other in the eye about

Cardiff deserved better than that

You deserved better than that

So before we say anything else, we just want to say we’re sorry

Genuinely

Not the kind of sorry that comes with a but straight after it

There is no dressing that up and we are not going to try

Just sorry full stop

This is not the kind of organisation that brushes things under the carpet or moves on quietly hoping nobody noticed

You deserved honesty

You deserved more from us

And Cardiff, you are going to get it

Because coming to Cardiff with anything less than our best was never something we were willing to do

So we waited

And we worked

And we are here now 🔥

Fully, properly and completely here!

With two games a week at Gôl Centres

Because this city was never going to be a one game kind of place

And we think somewhere deep down you always knew that

We are going to make absolutely sure it was worth the wait
