next week Friday 19th is the Great Get together event for the children at school, would any of you be free to help us man the PTA stall, it's 2-3.10pm, we set up from 1.30, the stall is drinks and crisps etc and then we have a throwing game where they get a sweet, can anyone come and help (I think we will need 3 volunteers)

Thanks so much to everyone who bought a ticket and came along to last nights PTA Quiz. The hall was packed with teams and there was a fantastic lively atmosphere.

A fun and challenging quiz was expertly written and compered by the wonderful Mr Hutchinson, Mr Lilley and Mr Scobie. There were so many interesting rounds ranging from a coconut shy, questions from Highdown clubs to 'what's in the box'. We are so grateful that our PTA has such supportive and brilliant teachers.

We were also delighted to be joined by Amanda Stephen's who supported the event and updated us on Olly's Work, thanks to everyone who donated to this important fundraising, do give their page a follow.

Huge thanks to the PTA parent and teacher helpers and also school student helpers who set up the event, manned the bar and served the curry - big thanks also to Momo House who provided the food for the event.

Whether your team won the wooden spoon or the prize hamper (or just enjoyed the bar) we hope you had fun and we will see you next year!!

It's always really rewarding to see how PTA funds are spent. Thank you to the wonderful Miss Brown, from Highdown's textiles department, for sending us these photos of the new sewing machines purchased by the PTA. The machines and other resources purchased are being used by the students to create some fantastic designs. We especially love the names of the machines!

A big thank you to all the brilliant parent and teacher volunteers that help us raise much needed funds for the benefit of Highdown current and future students!
