"To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow." (Audrey Hepburn)
There is pure magic in planting a seed, watching how a tiny dry speck awakens with water, warmth and light, stretching its roots downward and unfurl its fresh leaves towards the sun. It's a timeless wonder to observe every single year for every age in life. And how amazing that we can take an active part in this.
Since the very beginning of spring children and their families come to the Community Garden in Ross on Wye every Tuesday, 3:30 till 5. And indeed - we planted LOTS of seeds: lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, pumpkins sweetcorn, flowers, potatoes, carrots and beetroot. And all those seeds showed us the magic of germination. Last week we carefully planted out our final plants. And the magic continues when we hear children (and adults) come to the garden and say in surprise "Look how much the sweetcorn has grown!". We will continue to water and watch, play and make, until the time will come to harvest the fruit (and vegetables) π₯°ππ½π₯π₯π
