SUNDAY SUMMARY

This week was busy with patrols and patrollers bringing 6 new patrollers! Our amphibians are definitely on the move back to the woodland and decreasing in numbers crossing showing that our toads are nearing the end of their migration this year. We will continue patrolling for a while longer to make sure.

As always a massive thank you to all of our volunteers for being out in the cold wet evenings and to the drivers for your patience!!

We are no longer taking on patrollers for this season but if you would like to be contacted before the next season starts (January 2027), please email [email protected] and I will email you nearer the time. No experience necessary.

Our toads are starting their migration back to the woodland where they live throughout the year, signalling that the breeding season is coming to an end. We will continue patrolling to ensure they make their way back safely.

A big thank you to the several people to have stopped to ask us what we are doing and all the drivers that have slowed down for us and toads!

This week has been a bit too cold for toads but hopefully the change in weather today will bring good conditions for them and good numbers crossing🤞🏼

With 2 sites to patrol, we need many more volunteers to cover both sites. Email me at [email protected] to get started or ask questions 🐸
