🎉 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐬𝐞𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝟏𝟎 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬! 🎉

Members, partners, supporters, friends and guests gathered recently to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Romsey Men's Shed.

Over the past decade, the Shed has provided friendship, companionship, practical activities and support for many local men, becoming an important part of the Romsey community.

We were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Romsey, Colin Burgess, who joined us for the celebrations and helped mark this significant milestone. The Mayor met members, toured our facilities, and heard about the many projects and community activities that Romsey Men's Shed has undertaken over the years.

The event also included the official opening of our new workshop, named The Kaill Barker Workshop in memory of two much-missed members whose contributions helped shape the Shed into what it is today.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported Romsey Men's Shed during the last ten years. We look forward to continuing to provide a welcoming place where older men can make friends, learn new skills, share experiences and contribute to the local community for many years to come.

Bring along your broken or faulty household items and our volunteer repair team will do their best to help give them a new lease of life. Small electrical items, toys, tools, household items, wooden items and more are all welcome.

𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐬𝐞𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐎𝐖 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐩

It was time for the Walk and Talk group to make their annual trip to the Isle of Wight, this time saling from Lymington to Yarmouth on The Kraken , a relatively new, much smaller passenger only boat. We walked east from Yarmouth following the the coastal path for about 5miles before stopping at The Horse and Groom inn for a splendid meal and a drink. Catching the bus back to Yarmouth and the ferry to Lymington. What a wonderful way to spend a day - the weather was beautiful and we even had a sing-song other ferry home.

Over 20 members from the Shed turned up for the Bi-annual skittles match held at the Black Horse ,West Tytherley. Team games, highest overall score and last man standing competitions making it a highly enjoyable occasion. With prizes and a wonderful buffet what more could we ask for. Romsey Mens Shed is holding its popular Repair Shed on Saturday 25th April between 10-12, at Romsey School, Greatbridge, SO51 8ZB. You’ll find us immediately on the left just inside the school’s main gate.
Please bring in small household items for repair including toys, furniture, electrical items, bicycles etc. We also sharpen the likes of garden tools, knives and scissors.
Please come along and bring anything you have that needs fixing. We will do our best to return your item(s) to a working state and all we ask in return is a donation to shed funds.

The Romsey Men’s Shed Repair Shed will be open next Saturday 30th Feb to help repair small household items, tools, wooden items, toys, and more.
You can find us at Romsey School between 10am and midday. Go in the main entrance, park on the left and you can find us behind the old caretaker's house.
Come along, have a chat, and give your items a second life.

𝐀𝐦𝐩𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐳

The RMS's team "Shed a light" was thwarted in its attempt to regain the title after being knocked into second place last time, by the quizmasters asking too many questions that we didn't know the answer to and by us playing our joker on the wrong round. We were also distracted when we spilled our drink over our table, twice. On top of all this we didn't win any of the raffle prizes either!
Despite all this we came a worthy fourth, had an enjoyable evening and helped raise money for the village hall fund (towards roof repairs) and the Mountbatten Hospice .
A big thank you to the organisers. Looking forward to next year because "we'll be back"
