A big thank you to everyone who came out to last night’s public meeting for the latest update on the library.
The Harold Wood Foundation is pleased to share that we have formally requested that the building is included on the Local Heritage List which would give long term protection against future redevelopment or demolition. Negotiations are ongoing to secure a realistic rental agreement so we can move forward with signing a 7 year lease. We truly appreciate the community’s continued support…..it makes all the difference 🙏

16/02/2026

You are invited to join us for the latest updates on efforts to reopen the library. Please share the invitation with your neighbours as we wish to demonstrate the strong community desire to reopen this valued space: Thursday 26th February at 7 pm. St Peter’s Church. Gubbins Lane.

19/01/2026

Just a brief update to let you know that the Harold Wood Foundation is still in negotiations with the Council regarding the future use of the Library. A public meeting will be arranged once these negotiations are concluded. Thank you all for your continued support🙏

A huge thank you to St Peter’s Church for donating the Christmas Candlelight services collection to support fresh food hampers for local families connected to the Foodbank.
