The Friends of Raphael Park & Lodge Farm Park are a non-political, not-for-profit community group made up of ordinary residents that are working with the council, police and other bodies to improve, protect and provide a safe and fun place for all to enjoy.

Following the article posted yesterday relating to a catapult attack on a Swan in Raphael Park we have been in contact with the people who attended and removed the swans. No evidence of a catapult attack was found and it's believed to be a case of botulism which in part is caused by food being thrown in the lake. Unfortunately both of the swans have died along with several geese. As previously requested on a number of occasions PLEASE DO NOT throw food into the lake.

A reminder that there are public toilets in the Lodge building next to CREM restaurant. They are yours to use so please don't be put off by the screen that's been placed in front of them presumably by the restaurant. Unfortunately they are only open when the restaurant is open.

You may have seen a swan being taken away today from Raphael Park. It's been taken to the lake at Harrow Lodge Park by some swan sanctuary volunteers for its own safety. We believe it was from last year's clutch but unfortunately Dad didn't like her being around and was giving her a hard time! Apparently she's been marked with 2 black dots so should you go to Harrow Lodge Park keep a lookout for her.
