It is with great sadness that we received the news that Tony Sharps passed away peacefully at home on Sunday evening.

Tony spent 20 years living and working at the Centre at a time of consolidation, building foundations and growth. He was instrumental in shaping the vision, ethos and direction of the Centre, and his passion for the permaculture principles of Earth care, People care and Fair share was infectious and inspired many, visitors and staff alike.

His commitment to the City Farming and Community Gardening movement was unwavering, and having been involved right from the start, he was well known and respected throughout. He formed many long and special friendships and he will be fondly remembered by all.

He was an inspirational figure and a wonderful support to so many.
To his family and all those who knew him closely, we send our condolences.

If you have any photos, memories or stories please send them to us as we'd love to hear them and share with his family ❤
