....Our club is famous for having a warm and friendly ambiance, and we are always pleased to welcome visitors and new members. ood food....any visitor is assured of a warm welcome. Our Fellowship evenings are on a Tuesday, meeting in Upminster at the Golf Club in Hall Lane at 7.15 for 7.30pm sit down. We enjoy a 2-course meal, alternating between starter/main meal and main meal/dessert. Most evenings we invite speakers to inform and entertain us on a wide variety of subjects, including the charities and organisations we support to better enhance our understanding of what is required. When we get down to business we have a lively debate with everyone having their say! We always end up having a good laugh about most things. Frequent trips, days out and sports events are organised to promote fellowship and fun in our club. Please feel free to browse our website to look at our recent and forthcoming meetings and events to see what we get involved in, and get a feel for what we are about.

We are an amalgamation of two long established Rotary Clubs based in Havering, Greater London.
Whilst mainly serving local charities, we also support disaster funds overseas. End Polio Now is a long standing Rotary target.

Congratulations to our wonderful Rotarian, Colin Coe, on receiving his Paul Harris Award! This is such a prestigious honour from Rotary International, and it really highlights Colin's amazing dedication to the motto "Service Above Self." We're so lucky to have someone like Colin making a difference in our community! Let’s celebrate this fantastic achievement together! Colin first joined the Havering Rotary Club and was instrumental in , a dedicated family support organisation based in the London Borough of Havering. Their mission is to support families with babies and young children who have special needs and/or disabilities. The Group helps and makes a positive difference in people's lives! Colin was awarded the Freedom of the City of London for his dedication to First Step. Colin has served as a past President and is significantly involved with the in Reydon. Colin was part of the Essex County Bowling Association Image Poppi Smith .

Sadly, I have been unable to change the name of this page to reflect the joining of our club with Hornchurch and Upminster Rotary club . It was to become “Havering Phoenix Rotary club”
However, the administrator has sadly passed away, and Facebook will not allow me to change the name without complicated documentation to which I have no access !
Therefore, I have, with Rotarian Phil Edwards, had to set up a new page called Havering Phoenix Rotary club which I hope you will follow. We will be posting from the 1st of July on that page. Thanks for your support on here.

A special mention for Howard Tidd (our 7th PHF recipient) that I mistakenly left off my previous post!

Tuesday 16th of June was the final meeting of our Havering Rotary club. Sadly, the devastation of Covid, depleted our club (as it did for so many others), and even though it is our 50th charter year, we needed to address the problems and strengthen the impact that we have as Rotary in the community. Happily, Hornchurch and Upminster Rotary Club felt similarly, and we are joining together to create a new, strong and thriving club from the 30th of June called Havering Phoenix Rotary club (and this page will be renamed accordingly) . In this way, we will continue the excellent work of Rotary with good fellowship and fun together.
Our last meeting was bittersweet as , although we would not be meeting as a group again, several of our members were recognised with Paul Harris Fellowship awards for the dedicated service and effort given to the club over the last few years. The awards were presented by past president and current secretary Rupi to 7 very honoured and surprised people! And this was all celebrated with wine, cake and chocolate so an enjoyable evening marked the end of an era .

Exciting developments at Havering Rotary club! Because we know that our area is served by several Rotary clubs all having an amazing positive impact on our local community (and afar!), we have decided to join forces with Hornchurch and Upminster Rotary club in order to be able to concentrate our efforts for the greater good. Our new name will be Havering Phoenix Rotary club, and the name of this page will be changed accordingly from the inaugural date of the new club in July.
