Did you know Mary Thurgood? She was a guider with 1st Aveley Guides, Camp Advisor - I think in Thurrock, Trefoil Guild member of Romford and also Upminster for many years.

We will be holding an Afternoon Tea later in the year to celebrate everything that Mary enjoyed in girlguiding and how her legacy is helping girls and young women now and in the future.

Tree Festival this week - opening tomorrow until Sunday.

Romford TG has decorated a tree to depict the opportunities for guiding members to travel the world while continuing to give support, have fun and make new friends.

They have their Christmas Market and Tree Festival between 10am and 3pm.

On Thursday 28th August at 2:30pm friends from various clubs will be remembering everything that Olive Buckley did in the community.
She passed away at the end of July and was laid to rest last week at Forest Park Crematorium.
There is a service at the United Reformed Church, Western Road, Romford followed by time to chat and share our memories.
