On behalf of all members, trustees, volunteers we want to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in pulling together & supporting a fantastic jam at Potterne park, Verwood on Saturday!! 🎉
The weather was HOT 🔥 but the atmosphere, team support, and talent was a delight to see.

This event was funded by Verwood Solar Farm along with our commited business sponsor donations - Harold G Walker Solicitors Muir-Chapman Hairdressing Eden Funeral Directors & our prize donations from N Envy , .

We saw so many great runs from all 4 categories but taking the podium were :

Everyone taking part should be very proud of themselves, the heat, the pressure, perhaps a different park, it all adds to the worry of not doing your best, but we do see how hard you all work. DONT STOP - keep doing what you love 🙌

And the parent volunteers for helping on the stalls.

📣Development News – Scootopia will be teaming up with Youth Riders

Mentor Programme Launch

Youth Riders Charity is excited to share a major step forward for our community. Following a recent meeting with Scootopia’s team, we’re officially moving ahead with a brand-new mentor programme designed to support and elevate our more experienced riders.

This collaboration is all about progression—giving young riders a clear pathway from learning the basics to stepping into the world of professional scootering.

What’s Changing?
Once riders complete each of our core development levels—Beginner, Junior, and Novice—they’ll unlock access to something special. Graduates will be invited into a structured mentor programme led by Scootopia’s professional riding team.

This means real coaching, real opportunities, and real pathways into the sport at a higher level.

What the Programme Includes
The discussions, led by Lewis from Scootopia, outlined an “Academy-style” approach that everyone agreed would be a huge boost for our riders. Here’s what participants can expect:

👨‍🏫 Professional Mentorship
Riders will be coached and supported directly by Scootopia’s pro team, helping them refine their skills, learn advanced tricks, and build confidence.

✔️Becoming a Scootopia Rider
Selected riders will have the chance to represent Scootopia, which comes with some exciting perks:

Competition entry fees covered ✔️
Contributions toward travel expenses✔️
Prize money matched if they place on the podium✔️
A personal 10% discount code to share for Scootopia gear✔️
Regular Meets from Pro Riders✔️
Lewis and members of the pro team are keen to attend Youth Riders sessions regularly—offering hands-on support, encouragement, and inspiration for all participants.👏

📌📅Are you ready for our first Intergroup comp of the year 😎
These member only comps help to build confidence, helps practice 45second runs, under comp conditions, helps to learn about scoring and the different category levels.
But we know the best bit of all is that the team comes together to help encourage, support eachother whilst being in with a chance to win some prizes 🙌🙌
