Good performance from the girls for a wee 2-0 win in a good competitive game versus Renfrew Vics today.

Unfortunately Renfrew only had 8 players, so I agreed that we would play with 8 players as well, but it had a real impact on our flow, with girls having to be in some random positions a bit to allow me to have a fair game time split. 4 subs for 7 outfield players is far from ideal!

The girls did good in all their positions tho, despite some randomness! Referee was more than a little bit questionable, and I think we'd maybe have got another goal or two if not for the worst offside calls ever!

Goals from Rosie & Ella gave the win! No player of the match just due to it being a bit disjointed with all the subs, but good passing, good runs, some good challenges, but probably working on being a wee bit more physical before next game!

Absolutely buzzing with our girls! They’ve just been relentless so far and have been supporting each other all over the pitch. They’re a joy to be around and a joy to watch grow as a team.
Last season was tough, but we all stuck together, worked hard, and the results are paying off. We made loads of subs today and gave everyone plenty of game time. I know the girls hate getting taken off at the time, but I know they understand why.
Loads of goals today and a win, and every single girl played her part. I told the girls we could do something really special this year, and they’re already making history — the first Connies girls team to win a tournament trophy and the first to reach a cup semi-final.
They’re such a great bunch of girls who are beginning to believe in themselves more each week. You can see the confidence growing, and I just love it — all the coaches do.

Player of the Match today is Bella, and she really highlights what I said about the girls growing in confidence. She is definitely a prime example of that.
Bella learns from every game and just keeps getting better and better. Never a complaint or a moan — she just gets on with business and does it perfectly. She never gave any of their attackers a sniff today and was all over everything from start to finish.
She is definitely one of the most improved players I’ve coached, and I’m sure the other coaches would agree. Keep up the hard work, B — you’re absolutely smashing it. Proud of you, pal

Girls were so good today, feels wrong to say that it was 6-1... cos never in a million years did the girls deserve that scoreline.

So many things coming together, so much more composure, defence were great, midfield were great and the forwards were great.

Poor Thamara didn't get much of a warm up before the game, which may have had an impact on her being ready to go, so a few wee unfortunate mistakes led to goals.

Girls battled really well throughout and so proud of how well they played overall today.

Rosie got POTM today - came on after about 15 minutes and put in easily her best performance so far, first touches, turns, driving with ball, passing into space, and scoring a goal and almost scoring a second made it a unanimous decision from the coaches.

Really happy with the progress the girls are making, and although it's tough to lose, they are improving week on week.

St Convals v Dean Thistle

A brilliant performance away from home today at the Dean Thistle Gala Day.

For some of the girls, it was their first game on grass but you would never have known. We pressed from the start, took an early lead, and never looked back, producing some fantastic football throughout.

🏆 Player of the Match — Lily

Lily was outstanding today, excelling in two different positions and getting herself on the scoresheet in both. Every time she got on the ball she looked a real threat going forward, while also throwing herself into challenges to stop the opposition building attacks.
Unfortunately, Lily picked up an injury at the end of the game taking a sore one for the team to keep the attack alive and hope that it's just a little knock and nothing to serious 💪🏼

Excellent performance, Lily ⭐

Hope everyone enjoyed the match — see you all Tuesday 🩷
