🎉 Cornish 150 Coast Path Challenge – Finished! 🎉

At 6:30pm today I walked back into Redruth, completing the full 150 miles in just 6 days.

The route took me from Redruth out to Portreath, then a full loop of the Cornish Coast Path from Portreath around to Devoran, before heading back inland to finish where it all began in Redruth.

That’s:
🥾 6 marathons in 6 days
⛰️ Tens of thousands of feet climbed (the equivalent of Snowdon more than 7 times)
👣 Over 300,000 steps
🌞 All in the heat and blazing Cornish sun!

This has been the toughest challenge I’ve ever done — but also one of the most rewarding. Every mile was to raise funds for Bow’s Cambodia 2025 volunteering trip, and your donations and encouragement have been what kept me moving when it got really hard. I’ll put up a more detailed post tomorrow, but now I just need to have a shower and cup of tea!

🙏 Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us — it means the world.

🌊 Cornish Coast Path Challenge – Final Day Check-in 🌊

⏰ 12:00
📍 Mylor Bridge
📏 8.23 miles completed today
➡️ ~17 miles left to the finish in Redruth

Stopped at Mylor Bridge for a breather — a beautiful creekside village that once played a vital role in Cornwall’s maritime history. Mylor Harbour was a key Royal Navy base during the Napoleonic Wars, and today it’s one of the busiest marinas in the county. ⚓️

The sun is out again, making it another tough, hot slog — but every step takes us closer to completing this 150-mile, 6-day challenge.

🌅 Cornish Coast Path Challenge – Final Day Begins! 🌅

After 5 days, more than 125 miles, and climbing the equivalent of Snowdon 7 times, we set off earlier today to mark the last leg of this 150-mile challenge.

It’s been beautiful but brutally tough — the Cornish sun and heat over the past six days have made every climb and every mile even harder. 🌞🥵 But with grit (and a lot of water stops!) I’ve kept pushing on.

This morning we set off from Swanpool, heading through Falmouth, Flushing, and Devoran, before finally making our way back to Redruth — about 25 miles to bring it all home.

I’m delighted that Gemma is joining me for this final stage 💙 — it means a lot to share the last push together after some incredibly tough solo miles.

By the end of today we’ll have completed the full 150 miles in 6 days — a marathon distances each day, Cornwall’s toughest coastline, and heat that’s tested me to the limit.

Every step has been for Bow’s Cambodia 2025 volunteering trip, and your encouragement and donations have been what’s carried me through. 🙏

🌊 Cornish Coast Path Challenge – Day 5 Check-in 🌊

⏰ 10:30
📍 Black Head, Lizard Peninsula
📏 3.63 miles completed today
⛰️ 873 ft climbed
➡️ ~22 miles left today
🎯 ~66 miles left in the challenge

First stop this morning: Black Head on the Lizard Peninsula. This dramatic headland is not only one of the most rugged points of the Cornish coast — it also has an Iron Age cliff castle site perched right on its edge. Imagine ancient communities once calling this exposed clifftop home!

It’s another long day ahead as I push on towards Falmouth, but hitting each checkpoint feels like a victory. 💪

🌅 Cornish Coast Path Challenge – Day 5 Morning Update 🌅

Wow - I hit the 100 mile mark yesterday! “Only” 50 miles and two days left to go. It’s getting harder — everything is really starting to hurt now.

But, I’m back on the trail today, heading from Kuggar to Falmouth — another big stretch along the Cornish Coast Path. By tonight, I’ll be closing in on the finish of this 150-mile challenge!

Here are the stats so far after 4 days on the coastal path:
📏 101.5 miles walked
⏱️ 36 hours 45 minutes on the trail
⛰️ 23,079 ft of elevation climbed (that’s like climbing Snowdon more than 6 times I. The last four days!)

It’s getting tougher with every mile, but the support for Bow’s Cambodia fundraiser is what keeps me moving forward. 🙏

🌊 Cornish Coast Path Challenge – Hidden Gem Stop! 🌊

One of the best things about this 150-mile walk is stumbling across places like this — a hidden gem of a Cornish beach tucked away along the coast path. 🏖️

We’d love to know:
👉 Who can name this beach? 👀
👉 Or what’s your favourite hidden spot on the Cornish coast?

🌊 Cornish Coast Path Challenge – Day 4 Check-in 🌊

⏰ 10:55
📍 Porthleven
📏 4.8 miles completed today
⛰️ 1,050 ft climbed
📊 Total so far: ~80 miles
➡️ ~70 miles left in the challenge

Made it to Porthleven this morning — a steady start to Day 4. The legs are definitely feeling the 3 marathons already done, but I’m pushing on towards Mullion and the mighty Lizard Head later today.

Thank you for all the encouragement and donations — they really are what keeps me moving when it gets tough. 🙏

🌟 Halfway There! 🌟

I’ve now walked over 75 miles in 3 days on the Cornish Coast Path — that’s the halfway point of my 150-mile challenge!

So far:
🥾 3 marathons in 3 days
⛰️ Over 13,000 ft of climbing (higher than Mount Everest’s Base Camp!)
👣 More than 150,000 steps

It’s getting tougher with every mile, but I’m determined to keep going — all to raise funds for Bow’s volunteering trip to Cambodia in 2025.

🙏 Thank you so much to everyone who’s supported us already — it means the world. If you haven’t yet and would like to, even £1 or £2 will help make a huge difference.

🌙 Cornish Coast Path Challenge – Day 3 Complete 🌙

📍 Nanjizel → Praa Sands
📏 26.13 miles walked today
⛰️ 7,087 ft of elevation
⏱️ 10 hours on the trail
🎯 Halfway point reached – ~75 miles to go!

Today was another marathon day on the coast path — and the cumulative effect is really starting to bite. Every climb feels steeper, every step heavier, but hitting the halfway mark has given me a boost to keep pushing.

The next three days are going to be brutal. Tomorrow’s plan: Praa Sands to Kuggar, past Porthleven and Mullion, rounding the Lizard — the most southerly point in the UK.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Bow’s Cambodia fundraiser so far — your encouragement is what keeps me moving when my legs are screaming. 🙏
