Today, we remember and celebrate what would have been the 100th birthday of Queen Elizabeth II.

We are incredibly proud of our association with the Royal Family. From first opening our doors in 1987 to officially opening our new Hospice in 2022, royal visits have held great significance for our patients and their families, staff, volunteers and wider community.

Queen Elizabeth II first opened Thames Hospice on 9 November 1987 and visited on four occasions, including in July 2022, when our state-of-the-art facility was officially opened in the presence of HRH The Princess Royal, staff, volunteers, patients and their loved ones.

Support from Queen Elizabeth II helped shine a light on hospice care and the dignity, compassion and respect at the heart of everything we do.

Today, we honour Queen Elizabeth's legacy with gratitude and continue the work inspired by the values she championed: dignity, service and care for others.

Today is Global Recycling Day ♻️

We’re proud to play a part in making recycling happen every single day of the year through our shops.
