Oxford Bus Company (which also runs Thames Travel) has one of these new fangled App things - apparently if you sign up you can get a 10% discount at some outlets, including this one - anyone fancy a hot dog?

The Downs School (Compton) Easter holidays begin on Friday 27th March at 13.25 and last the following two weeks. School resumes at the normal time on Monday 13th April. This means that our 132 Woodcote to Compton service will leave Compton earlier at 13.30 on Friday 27th March, and will not run again until school resumes on Monday 13th April. We will not be running any services at all on public holidays Good Friday (3rd April) and Easter Monday (6th April). Happy Easter!

Thames Travel has produced a very attractive leaflet for the 134 Goring to Wallingford service. Copies are available from the Tourist Information Office in Wallingford. The outside of the leaflet features some pics of places served along the route, and the inside has the timetable. Just one thing though, one of the pics is a fake! Can you spot which one? Please send your answer to us at [email protected] and you could win a (small!) prize!

Friday 20th February 2026. Due to the road closure in Watlington we are anticipating that our 10.05 Wallingford to Watlington service will need to be diverted between Ewelme Shepherd's Hut and Watlington. This means that unfortunately the stops between those points cannot be served by this journey. Please call us on 07484 605888 for suggestions of alternative arrangements if you need to travel from those stops. Our 10.30 Watlington to Wallingford and 13.00 Wallingford to Watlington will follow the normal route through Ewelme but will not be able to serve the stops in Britwell Salome. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. We also apologise if we have to make any last minute changes to these arrangements in the event of unexpected complications due to this very confusing Thames Water road closure.

Friday 20th and Monday 23rd February 2026: Thames Water (sorry, not Thames Travel as previously stated!) are believed to be digging holes somewhere in Brook Street in Watlington. They don't seem to be able to make up their minds exactly where the road will be closed, but it will certainly cause problems for our access to Watlington Library. We hope to be able to pick up and set down at the junction of the Benson and Chalgrove roads if we can't get to the library. If that is the case we will run the service ten minutes late from there to give people time to walk there from the library. We are sorry to be so vague but we have not received proper notification of this closure and what we have got is contradictory. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. We have made our feelings known to the County Council!

Tuesday 17th February 2026: It's pancake day so we have to avoid Wallingford town centre between 9.30 a.m. and 11 a.m. as we don't want our bus to be splattered with pancakes being tossed by the racers. Unfortunately it's not clear to us where we can go during this time as it appears High Street (outside the museum and library) is shown as also being closed on the Oxfordshire Roadworks website. We'll just have to 'play it by ear' and we're very sorry for any inconvenience caused. If we get any further information we'll update this page. Happy Pancake Day!

Christmas greetings to all our passengers and friends! Just a reminder that we will be taking a break from Christmas Day until New Year's Day inclusive, so after we run our normal service tomorrow (Christmas Eve) we will be back running our normal service on Friday 2nd January 2026. We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, and we look forward to seeing you in 2026!

19/12/2025

Friday 19th December 2025 to January 4th 2026: The Downs School in Compton broke up for Christmas yesterday (18th December). As this service only runs on schooldays, there won't be any route 132 journeys until the school goes back on Monday 5th January 2026. Hope the students all have a good break!

17/12/2025

Wednesday 17th December: Good news, we have drivers to cover for the one who is not able to come today. The 08.54 from Goring station to Wallingford is running about 15 minutes late but hopefully will catch up some time before the next service (Wallingford town circular at 09.30)

17/12/2025

Wednesday 17th December: unfortunately due to a sudden family bereavement, today's driver is not available. We are currently trying to find an alternative but as of now haven't succeeded. Please watch this space for further information as soon as we get it. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused. PLEASE SEE UPDATE ABOVE!
