I've been doing some thinking.

As you know, I spend quite a lot of time supervising things around the Foundation. It's important to keep an eye on what's going on. And I've been thinking about the Sponsor Dogs.

There are rather a lot of us. We all have our own personalities, our own ideas about how things should be done, and our own opinions about just about everything.

* Dylan, for example, thinks running around at full speed is a perfectly sensible way to spend the day.

* Lulu has standards.

* Poppet prefers to do her own thing.

* Geordie prefers to take life at his own pace and watch the rest of us getting on with it.

*And then there's Evoli, who seems to believe that life is one long opportunity to play.

Someone has to keep an eye on the whole operation. Obviously, that's me.

But here's the thing. We all need food, veterinary care, comfortable places to rest, and things to make life interesting. And we all appreciate having people who care about us.

Now, you could choose one of us to sponsor. That's an excellent idea, of course.

But what if you can't choose just one? What if you rather like the whole gang?

Well, I've been looking into this, and apparently you can support the Sponsor Dogs as a group instead.

I think that's a very sensible arrangement. No difficult decisions. No arguments about favourites. Just helping all of us to have the care and happy lives we deserve.

I shall continue to supervise matters from here.

*Vet news!*
We have some good news about Maple. ❤️

It's been a little while since our last update, as we've been waiting to hear more from the specialist vet. Now we finally have some news — and things are starting to move forward.

We've been given an estimated cost of around £3,500 for Maple's procedure, which is much more encouraging than the original estimate we were working with.

We don't have a confirmed date yet, but we're hoping it may be possible for her to have the procedure towards the end of October.

There's still a way to go, but this feels like a really positive step for Maple. She's still such a young dog, and it is heartbreaking that her life has been restricted by pain and stiffness in her shoulders. The aim of the procedure is to reduce her pain and improve her mobility, giving her the chance to get back to doing all those things a young dog should be doing — running, playing, exploring and simply enjoying life.

And there's some good news on the fundraising front too. ❤️
We've now raised £1,030 towards Maple's treatment.

That's £1,030 from people who have chosen to help this lovely girl, and we're incredibly grateful to every single person who has supported her so far.

Our new target is £3,500, so we're now £2,470 away from having the funds we need for her procedure.
We're getting there. 🐾❤️

*Milo Reporting!*
Apparently there is going to be a Christmas card this year. Naturally, I felt this required supervision.

So I attended the meeting. There were several important matters to discuss.
* Poppet didn't see why she needed to be there at all.
* Lulu wanted to know whether there would be proper refreshments.
* Dylan wanted to know whether there would be running.
* Geordie listened quietly. He seemed to find the whole thing rather amusing.

Then someone showed us the card. There we all were.
Evoli is pulling the sleigh. I'm not entirely sure how that happened. She seems very pleased with herself.

I have to say, she does look rather good. Although I'm not sure why the puppy gets to be in charge of the sleigh. Still, I suppose someone has to do it.

I did consider volunteering. But then I thought about it. Pulling a sleigh sounds like hard work. I'll supervise instead.

Evoli here. 🐾
Something very exciting happened.
Gemma came to see me!

Gemma has been following my adventures for a while and has sent me lots of lovely toys and love, so I already knew she was very nice. But then she came all the way to the Foundation to meet me.
And I got cuddles.
Lots of cuddles.

We played together too, and I showed her just how much I love my toys. I think she enjoyed watching me play with them almost as much as I enjoyed playing with them.

Then I showed her my wheels.
Well...
Once I get going, I really get going!
Gemma said:
“Watching her play and seeing how much happiness they bring her was heartwarming. And when she gets going on her wheels, there’s no stopping her!”

She's right about that.
I like going fast.
And I'm not always on my wheels either. Apparently I'm very good at zooming around with or without them.
I have a lot of energy for a little puppy.

Gemma said it was a truly humbling experience meeting me, and that she felt incredibly lucky to have met such a special little girl.

She said I hold a very special place in her heart.
I think she might have a little place in mine too!

It was lovely having someone who already knew me come all that way just to spend time with me. And apparently she can't wait to see me again.
Excellent.
I can't wait either.
I've got more toys to show her.
And probably quite a lot more zooming around to do.
