The Duck Race 🐥 is back at The Oracle Riverside on Saturday 19th September and we are counting down the days.

To every team who joined us for this year’s Rotary Club of Reading Abbey Am Am Charity Golf Day, we just want to say a great big heartfelt thank you! ♥️💙

We are completely in awe of how generous, fun and utterly brilliant you all were throughout the evening. And we have to say it — you all looked absolutely dashing! ✨

⛳ Many thanks for all your support at our Annual Golf Event on the 28th July at Calcot Park Golf Club.

We are pleased to let you know that we raised £4,500 on the day, with the main beneficiary being Thames Valley Air Ambulance 🚁. We believe all 16 teams had an enjoyable day, and the Rotary Club of Reading Abbey is very appreciative of the teams that entered the event and the organisations and individuals who provided prizes and hole sponsorship.

As well as fun on the day, we had some outstanding golf results, listed below: 🏆

The highest award that can be given in Rotary is being made a Paul Harris Fellow. 🏆

Paul Harris was the founder of Rotary in 1905, and he started an organisation that now has a worldwide membership of about 1.4 million. The award is to recognise people who have given exceptional service to Rotary and their community. Francis Woolaway has been a member of Rotary since 2005. 💙

Immediate Past President Peter said, “Frances has given exceptional service to Rotary, as well as her own charity, Ways and Means. This award is thoroughly deserved. We are all enormously proud to have Frances as a member of Reading Abbey.” ✨
