Edt As a not-for-profit organisation, we exist to increase the life chances of individuals by improving education and skills outcomes. Learning to change the world.

Education is one of the most powerful levers for change. When it’s equitable, evidence-informed and high quality it has the power to create opportunity for everyone. For nearly 60 years, we’ve partnered with governments, donor agencies and school networks across the globe to strengthen education systems, shape career pathways, and support people to thrive. From classrooms to communities, early yea

rs to adulthood, our work delivers meaningful impact that lasts. Driven by impact, powered by collaboration and innovation. We deliver customised solutions wherever we can make an impact. We take a system-wide approach to tackling educational inequality, removing barriers so every learner can access quality education and realise their potential. From girls’ education to displaced learners and those in crisis-affected settings, we design inclusive, sustainable solutions that answer real needs. By partnering across sectors and harnessing the potential of technology, we create impactful, scalable programmes and solutions that strengthen systems and develop capabilities in collaboration with the communities in which we work.

Around the world, education systems are under huge pressure to improve outcomes, support educators, and achieve more with less. This week, the Education World Forum (EWF) brought together those who are addressing these challenges around the globe.

Yesterday, we spoke to our CEO (Interim) Sarah Farquhar about why EWF is such a special event to be a part of, and how edt’s partnerships reflect a running theme throughout the conference: commitment to a shared ownership of change.

The Education World Forum (EWF) 2026 has officially begun, and we are thrilled to be here amongst a wide range of education leaders and experts from around the world.

At this year’s event, against the backdrop of a rapidly evolving education and development landscape, we are exploring the power of partnering with purpose to drive real change for learners. We ask: what is YOUR biggest challenge, and how can we work together to co-design and implement sustainable solutions that actually last?

Our team is delighted to be attending EWF to explore the most pressing questions of today when it comes to education and employability. At our stand and our ministerial breakfast on Tuesday 19th May, we will be engaging with ministers, policymakers and partners on what it takes to turn reform into results.

Come and visit us at Stand S6 to join the conversation with our team:

Sarah Farquhar (CEO (Interim))
Tony McAleavy (Chief Education & Skills Officer)
Sabine Nguini (Director of Consultancy Delivery)
Clare Buntic (Lead Adviser, System Strengthening)
Marion Smallbones (Lead Adviser, Insights and Innovation).

Plus, keep an eye on our channels to hear more from leading voices at edt on why partnering with purpose is the key to lasting change, and how we work strategically with organisations around the world to achieve it.

Proud moment for Edt. We’re participating in the 66th Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Company ZITF for the first time. We’re excited to showcase our collaborative work with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education in strengthening teaching quality, supporting system reforms, and improving learning outcomes across the country.

At our stand, we are sharing lessons from implementing the UK in Zimbabwe-funded teacher professional development component of the TEACH programme, the Think Equal Social and Emotional Learning including the Roger Federer Foundation supported-School Readiness Initiative, collaborative work with Unesco Regional Office for Southern Africa, while building new partnerships to improve learning outcomes among pupils.
