Tylehurst Lodge No. 6526

The Lodge name originates from the 16th century spelling of the Reading suburb of Tilehurst. The area in the 19th century was famous for brickmaking and the Lodge banner depicts a kiln and brickyard. We are named Tylehurst as the Lodge originally drew members from the west of Reading, however our membership is now is spread all over the County, and indeed the Hampshire borders. Our members are a f

riendly bunch from a wide range of professions, including farming, the building trade, tree surgery, the IT industry, security profession, and small business owners to name but a few. Many of our members have been associated with the Lodge for over 20 years. We pride ourselves on being a sociable Lodge, with a number of regular annual social occasions where we are joined by wives, partners and friends. We also have a good number of family connections with a number of father and sons, and cousins being members. Being a member of our Lodge can offer you:

The Lodge meets officially six times a year on the third Mondays of January, February, March, April, October, and November. These formal meetings begin at 18:00 and are followed by a meal (known as the Festive Board), and are usually concluded prior to 22.00. We also meet informally for a couple of hours twice a month, for ten months of the year.
