Today is National Food Bank Day 💚

Today, we’re recognising the incredible volunteers, donors, supporters and team members who make it possible for Rawmarsh Foodbank to be there for people across our local community. 🤝

Every donation, every hour volunteered, and every act of support helps us provide emergency food, a warm welcome and practical help to people when they need it most.

🌾 And with Harvest Festival coming up this month, it’s a particularly important time to support your local food bank.

Harvest is a wonderful opportunity for schools, churches, community groups, workplaces and local organisations to come together and collect much-needed food and essentials for people in our community. Keep an eye on our page this month for more about how you can get involved. 💚

While we’re proud to support our community, we continue to work towards a future where nobody needs to use a food bank.

It's a quick and easy way to support local people experiencing hardship, with every donated bag going directly to Rawmarsh Foodbank.

Every donation, no matter how small, helps us continue supporting people in our community.

If you are in a financial crisis and need urgent help, please call this number. 📞

Lines are open Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm and closed on public holidays.

You may also be able to get a food bank voucher from a local referral agency, such as GPs, schools, mental health support workers, social prescribers, early help teams, social care workers, or housing officers.

🌟 Volunteer Spotlight: Jason & Dylan 🌟

This month, we're shining the spotlight on Jason and Dylan from the Dewar family.

Earlier this year, Jason, Dylan, Tash and Ella joined the Rawmarsh Foodbank volunteer team, making them the **first whole family** to volunteer with us! 💚

Jason and Dylan are an integral part of our warehouse team, helping to keep everything organised and running smoothly. From sorting donations to preparing food parcels, they work incredibly hard, always bring a positive attitude, and are guaranteed to brighten the warehouse with their fun facts and great sense of humour.

We're so grateful to have them as part of the Rawmarsh Foodbank family. Thank you, Jason and Dylan, for everything you do to support our community. 👏
