Members have created a Christmas Tree for the Christmas Tree festival in St Simon and St Jude's Church. At their November meeting they used different crafts to decorate small jam pots. These were used as a reference to the original use of the term 'jam and Jerusalem'.

As the community stores away the Poppy material for next year, a big thank you to all, individuals, groups, organisations who contributed to this year's display.

Whether you knitted, crochet, painted, moved stuff it will be there for next years display. For those who can and wants to add to this material - thank you in advance. If you need materials or somewhere to store then contact any of the community groups.

A reminder that Team Vynil donated £250 towards material (wool etc) for use by anyone producing crafted items. This money is being held by Jayne of the Rainworth Knit & Crochet Group, for use by anyone producing items for the Poppy Commemoration Community displays. The money is available to the community groups and individuals producing display material. This was communicated to all; Lurcher Knitwits, Poppy Gang, Rainworth K&C group. Some Khaki coloured wool, red, white, black is also available. If you wish to purchase wool then refunds from the £250 donation can be given. Or the material can be purchased for you.

In addition £160 has been collected in donations and this is to be donated to Blidworth & Rainworth RBL towards the local branch services.

No one does this for fame or fortune, and no one person can do it, so to all the groups, individuals and organisations - Thank You

People are already making stuff for next year, and more ideas and requests are coming in.
