🇹🇿🏔️10 years ago today, we reached the summit of Kilimanjaro! 🏔️🇹🇿

A decade later, we’re still incredibly grateful to the amazing local people of Tanzania who supported us every step of the way, kept us safe, and helped us reach the rooftop of Africa. The memories from that journey will stay with us forever.

Today we’re also remembering Dawn, whose determination and courage inspired everyone around her. Despite living with terminal cancer, she completed the challenge with incredible strength and positivity. She remains forever in our hearts and is one of the most inspiring people Sporting Family Change has ever had the privilege to meet.

Tomorrow is never promised ❤️❤️

The morning was a great success, as local like-minded individuals and organisations came together to commit to making Bath a kinder place. It was also the first opportunity to share the exciting news of our upcoming Kindness Festival, a unique never-seen-before event which is free to all to attend.

🙌 A massive thank you to the kind individuals, community groups and companies that attended our recent Kindness Breakfast! We invited the local community to commit to making Bath the first-ever City of Kindness, starting with our Kindness Festival on June 27th.

⭐️ A massive shoutout to our Kindness Choir, who kindly joined us on day to spread joy by singing at the Bath train station. Hundreds of onlookers were uplifted by their efforts, with many stopping to join in with the random kindness.

✨ Now that's how to celebrate day! We descended onto Bath yesterday on a day dedicated to spread random kindness amongst the local community. We were fortunate to be joined by volunteers, some young people we are fortunate to mentor and other adults we are lucky to support. We collectively delivered various kind gestures to locals from flowers to confectionary - all in the name of kindness and attempting to uplift someone's day. In a world where you can be anything, be kind!

🎖️ It’s official! The boy from Bath who wanted to positively impact communities with sport and kindness has an MBE for his lifetime commitment to the cause. James, or Jimmy as the many communities know him, will hate this social media post. He is entirely selfless, unconditionally kind and always attempts to spotlight the positives in others. So here’s to you taking the spotlight Jimmy, the boy from Bath who just wanted to showcase the transformational power of sport and kindness. The Royals are now another community to acknowledge your mission.

A massive thanks to GWR, who showcased their own kindness yesterday by kindly gifting first class travel to Jimmy and his family for their trip to Windsor for his MBE Investiture.

I’ve been overwhelmed by the number of phone calls, messages and connections over the last 48 hours and the spread of kindness on the news of my MBE. Thank you to each and everyone of you and I hope 2026 brings kindness, joy and good health to you all. Big love Jimmy ❤️

🥳 We are absolutely elated to share that our founder James Deane has been recognised with an MBE by His Majesty The King for his continued services to the local community. A lifelong commitment from Jimmy to showcase how transformational sport and kindness can be within society has now been acknowledged by the King himself! Congratulations Jimmy!
