We were having so much fun we forgot to take any decent photos!

With lawn bowls called off due to weather we frantically arranged an indoor activity of good old skittles. We welcomed a couple of new guys along who were interested to find out more about what we do.

Men need mates too 👬

It sounds obvious, but somewhere between work, family and everyday life, time for mates can disappear.

Not because we don't need mates - but because routines take over, calendars fill up, and suddenly those plans you made to catch up never happen.

Round Table exists to make meeting up a bit easier.
A place to turn up, have a laugh, chat with friends and be around your people.

No pressure.
No big speeches.
Just mates getting together and having something to look forward to.

Connection is part of being human and yes... men need it too.

The Unspoken Rules of Round Table

-The first rule of Round Table... is you ABSOLUTELY do talk 🗣️ about Round Table. Because if you've found a great thing - why keep it to yourself?

-The second rule of Round Table... is EVERYONE is welcome to get involved. You don't need tons of time. You don't need to be Brad Pitt or Ed Norton... You just need to turn up!

-The third rule of Round Table... is help your COMMUNITY. From helping at charity events to donating time at the local food shelter, doing a bit of good together is kind of the point!

-And the final rule of Round Table... If you're looking for new MATES, new experiences and a reason to get out of the house - Round Table is most definitely for you!

Our only formal ish meeting of the year, our AGM ! A great evening celebrating what we have achieved and handing over to the next in line.
We welcome Sam to the chair and Nick as vice, these guys will do a fab job. Great food and service thehorseandjockey_binegar

🚨 Mythbusters - Round Table Special 🚨
(because apparently we need to clear a few things up).

There are a lot of opinions out there about what Round Table is...
So let's do some mythbusting.

❌ MYTH: Round Table is a secret society
✅ FACT: We're not that organised, and really not a secret!

❌ MYTH: It's just an excuse to drink
✅ FACT: There are socials... but also charity fundraisers, leadership events, exciting trips and actually doing things

❌ MYTH: You have to be a 'certain type of bloke'
✅ FACT: If you can turn up, have fun and get involved - you'll fit right in

❌ MYTH: It's only for loud extroverts
✅ FACT: Some of us are loud. Some of us observe quietly and deliver elite one-liners later. All 'verts welcome

❌ MYTH: It's all traditions and old rules
✅ FACT: The only real rule is getting stuck in and not taking yourself too seriously

❌ MYTH: You already have to know someone
✅ FACT: Most people don't. That's literally the point

REALITY: Round Table is about mates, experiences, giving back, learning from each other and having a social life that doesn't revolve around the sofa.

No robes (unless you want to). No chanting (unless you feel like it).
Just good people, doing good things.

Another great trip to Cheddar Ales, fine ale, stout, lager and cider enjoyed by all and of course, the fantastic fish and chips which keeps everyone quiet for 5 minutes!
We were joined by a few members from &gillingham Round table, great to see you guys.
A big thanks to all who came along to support the event and thanks to Cheddar ales for hosting us.
