Yesterday was our Senior citizens party. Our 60 guests enjoyed a lovely meal, sherry, cake and tea. We also had great Entertainment from Paul Kirton-Smith, Mike Bunn and Rachel Barlow-Skinner. Including a game of pass the parcel!
A cheque of £1477 was presented to Raj from Timeless connections dementia cafe which was collected during our Santa sleigh tour.
A great afternoon was had by guests and volunteers alike.
This was a free event for Queniborough’s Senior citizens, only made possible by our great volunteers. If you fancy joining us and helping out, giving back to the village we need more “Younger” people to keep the committee going for years to come. It’s great fun and very rewarding. Please Contact us and come along.

Queniborough November 5th Committee
Annual General Meeting 2026 – all welcome
8pm on 2nd March at Queniborough Members Club

For 60 years the Village has supported our community activities.
The last decade has really seen this support flourish to the point where everything we do receives help from other village groups, local businesses and the many volunteers who we depend on for the Guy Fawkes Bonfire Night celebration. This combines to ensure we have an excellent and safe display for the Village at a family friendly price.
Nov 5th has done all it can to be sustainable. Keeping up with legislation, building relationships with some very generous suppliers and returning as much money as possible to the wider Village community.
The next few years will likely see a number of the longer serving Committee Members needing to retire after many years of service thus potentially jeopordising future events.
Put simply the activities we like organising, the Fireworks Display, the Santa Tour and the Seniors Party do depend on there being a committee for the amazing volunteers and community to support so well!
Being on the Nov 5th committee does not require a great time commitment away from the key events
and all of us have manged to fit this in around family and working lives.
If you’d like to know more please come along to this AGM or phone 0116 298 3436.

A huge thank you to the Queniborough November 5th Committee and the residents of Queniborough for the fantastic gifts donated during Santa’s slightly delayed visit to the village just before Christmas.

The generosity of the village will really lift the spirits of the local children and young people that Young Lives vs Cancer support. These donations will provide a much needed distraction to children during their treatment and they really helped us to spread a little Christmas cheer!

Thank you Queniborough for being a part of

Santa would like to extend his huge thanks to Queniborough for having raised £1,475 for Timeless Connections Dementia Café — well over last year’s collection of £1,200! 🎄

The toys collected were also kindly donated to the CLIC Sargent charity. 🎁

A huge thank you to everyone who supported us, and these charities, so generously — your kindness and community spirit truly make a difference. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! ✨
