Orchard Volunteers Needed!
It looks like great weather for this First Sunday of the Month meeting at our orchard.
The nettles are getting tall - so this will be our main aim! If anyone here has strimmer experience (whether with your own strimmer or not) then your help would be highly valued by our small team of regular volunteers, who despite our passion for the orchard, lack some of the strength needed to complete this task to make it a truly welcoming place.

It would be amazing if you can help in any way at all

We hope to see you there from 10am on Sunday, for however long you can give. Usually we are finished by 11am 🙏

Only a couple of days until our free Easter competition! 🐣 Hopefully the weather will be on our side.

Come along to the ridgeway farm community orchard site on the 29th March at 1pm (keep an eye on this page as we may change the time if there is torrential rain!) with a hard boiled, decorated chicken egg.

There will be prizes for all!

After many months since our initial grant application to Purton Parish Council and drafting with local artist Marilyn Trew we unveiled our signs!
Combined with phenomenal support from Tom Scott's Gardening Services and some awesome volunteers we put up one today, with the second pending completion once we have received the missing brackets.

We are now looking forward to our Egg Rolling Race and cake sale at the orchard site on the 29th March.

We hope to see lots of Ridgeway families there for fun and laughter to welcome the Easter period.

Come along to see our new maps!
On the first of March at 10am we will be installing the signs and site maps your donations have kindly helped us create with the help of Marilyn Trew. It would be great to give them a Ridgeway Farm community welcome! 🤗

Thank you to all who helped at our last meeting! Thanks to the help of the community and Tom Scott’s Garden Service we managed to finish mulching all of our trees!

Help needed tomorrow! On the 8th February at 10am we are continuing our tree care and maintenance. Giving every tree cage a mulch, w**d and prune.
If you are available we would greatly appreciate your help! At present we only have three volunteers helping which is not enough to maintain the orchard in the long term. Please come along to the orchard site if you have a spare hour or even 30minutes!

Thank you 🙏
