Purleigh Village Fête – A Big Thank You from Us!

After three incredible years running the fete alongside the amazing Leah, we have some bittersweet news to share.
With both of us stepping into new roles at work and taking on a lot more responsibility, along with family life keeping us busy too, we just don't have the time or headspace to organise the fête to the standard it deserves.
We've absolutely loved every moment of bringing this community together — rain, shine, hailstones (!) and everything in between! ☀️🌧️
To every single person who has volunteered, baked, lifted, carried, cheered, and shown up year after year — THANK YOU. You are what makes Purleigh so special, and it's been a genuine privilege to be part of it. 🙌

Calling all young people from 12-18! Essex Army Cadet Force, B Company, Maldon Detachment needs you! Army Cadets provides young people with a wealth of opportunities and experiences such as adventurous training, fieldcraft, first aid, and shooting, as well as access to BTEC qualifications and the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme all subsidised by the British Army and your local detachment is in need of new recruits!
If you know a young person aged between 12-18 who would be interested in joining, follow the link below to the expression of interest form.

We were very grateful to have Essex Army Cadet Force, B company, Maldon Detachment supporting us on fete day. These young people worked very hard in the heat to get everyone parked safely, helped assemble various marquees and gazebos for stall holders, as well as running their own recruitment stand.
They’re always on the look out for new recruits and Army Cadets provides young people with a wealth of opportunities and experiences, including access to Btec qualifications and the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme.
