🚶‍♂️💛 MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WALK 💛🚶‍♀️

On Thursday 11th June 2026, the team from An Inclusive Future CIC will be taking on the challenge of walking from Darwen Tower to Blackpool Tower.

📍 Meet: Sunnyhurst Pub, Darwen
⏰ Meet at 6:30am
🚶 Start: 7:00am
🏁 Finish: Blackpool Tower

This walk is about raising awareness of mental health, encouraging conversations, and reminding people that they are never alone.

June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month 💙

Too many men struggle in silence, feeling pressure to stay strong, keep going, and handle everything on their own.

The truth is that strength isn’t about hiding how you feel. Strength is reaching out, speaking up, and supporting one another when life becomes difficult.

This month, let’s challenge the stigma around men’s mental health and encourage open conversations. A simple message, phone call, or check-in could make a bigger difference than you realise.

You are not alone. Your mental health matters.

Our peer support worker trusted their instincts, reached out, and helped someone find hope again when they needed it most.

Never underestimate the impact of simply being there for somebody. You may never fully realise how much a small act of support can change a life.

One of our amazing team members has created this brilliant scarecrow display for the Hoddlesden Scarecrow Festival this weekend! 🐑✨

Meet Bo and her very real baby lamb at stop number 6 on the trail map, available from the The Ranken Arms.

Everyone is welcome to pet the sheep, with all donations going towards our amazing work we do in the community and aiding people with mental health.

The magic of Disney is taking over Hoddlesden Village (BB3) this weekend — make sure you go and check it out! 💫

🌟 TWO AMAZING EVENTS. ONE IMPORTANT CAUS🌟

At An Inclusive Future CIC, we are proud to be hosting TWO community events to help raise money for mental health support and awareness 💛

🥾 CHARITY WALK – Thursday 11th June 2026
Join us as we take on the journey from Darwen Tower to Blackpool Tower 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️
Meet at 6:30am for a 7:00am start.
A challenge bringing people together whilst raising money to support mental health services in our community.

🎡 FAMILY FUN DAY – Saturday 22nd August
Held at Chorley Panthers ARLFC from 10am–3pm 🎉
Expect:

🛍️ Stalls
🍔 Food stalls
🎟️ Raffle
🏉 Rugby match
…and so much more for the whole family to enjoy!

We at An Inclusive Future met this week to talk about how far we have come and where we’re heading next 💙

It was a great chance to reflect on everything we’ve achieved so far and the impact we’re continuing to make within our community. We’re so passionate about creating opportunities, supporting others, and building a more inclusive future for everyone.

We have got some exciting events coming up, including our charity walk on 11th June and our family fun day on 22nd August. Both are set to be brilliant days bringing people together

Today we had the privilege of attending a brilliant International Women’s Day event hosted at Liverpool Women’s Hospital alongside the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce.

It was truly inspiring to hear powerful stories from incredible women who are making a real difference in their fields. From leadership and innovation to improving healthcare and supporting communities, the passion and dedication shared throughout the discussions was amazing to witness.

Events like this remind us just how important it is to celebrate women’s achievements, amplify their voices, and continue building opportunities for future generations.

A huge thank you to everyone who shared their experiences and insights today. We’re excited and looking forward to the amazing work, collaboration, and positive impact still to come in the future.

We’re taking on a big challenge to raise money for mental health support.
